We were looking for a good breakfast place after a very early start on a Sunday morning. We found this place in Unilocal. We got there early enough to have a 20 min wait instead of longer. The place is small, but has nice homely décor. To get to the reatroom, you have to walk from the kitchen, through the office, and stockroom. The menu is listed on the wall. It’s split in 3 main sections: Filipino breakfast, Omeletes, and Mediterranean dishes. We went for their Filipino dishes, since it’s rare for us to find Filipino restos near our home. We got curious and tried this our. We had the Arroz Caldo(chicken porridge), Tapsilog(Marinated Beef), CornSiLog(Cored beef), and Longsilog(Sausage). SiLog stands for Sinangag(garlic rice) and Itlog(eggs) We loved the Sinangag. It was loaded with Gralic, just how I like it. The over easy eggs were done perfectly. And the meat were tender and tasty. I had hoped that the longanisa(sausage) was made with chunks of meat instead of the finely grounded(similar to hot dog texture) that this place offered. But it still tasted salty and sweet, which is similar to how I remember it from back home. Drinks were self-serve. The appitezer of pita, which they called homemade bread, was very satisfying. It was served warm and fresh. It came with tangy-tasting hummus. We ordered bread and hummus for take out for $ 5. Service was fast and efficient. Everyone was very friendly. Their patrons were mostly young couples and young faamilues, like ours. I’m glad we got to try this place. It’s not cheap, but I would say that the dishes were reasonably-priced. You get good value for a pleasant and satisfying dining experience.

The food is good but their attitude needs serious improvement. We arrived today at 1:33pm and they refused to serve us because their kitchen was closed already. If their kitchen closes at 1:30, then why do they list their closing time as 2pm? Seriously, the Open light was still turned on and another party after us also got turned away. This is a hole in the wall place, not a five star fine dining establishment.

came here on a weekend morning to try the place based on the positive reviews. This place is small so you may need to wait for a table. We asked the waiter to explain their breakfast options and he just pointed us to the board so we had to select based on the Unilocal reviews. I know this is a family place but they may want to step up their game in terms of customer service. The food however is good and fresh. The complimentary bread and dip are yummy. Some of the items were a bit overpowering in terms of flavors. I would like to come back and try some of the other options next time.

Finding more and more Hole-in-the-walls is so exciting! I wasn’t sure where to eat on Sunday for lunch and my buddy suggested Filipino food. Granted, I thought I’d go to Daly City for my usual spot, but he managed to find this tiny place. Funny enough, he ended up showing up last because he couldn’t find the location. The restaurant itself is extremely small with only a few tables scattered throughout. The menu is hand written in chalk with bright colors posted in front of the kitchen. I must say that I love the vibe that this place creates. Even before we ordered, one of the people from the kitchen brought us complimentary pita bread & hummus — Thank you, I was starving! Despite ordering for ourselves, me and my friends ended up sharing everything. I absolutely love family style because I was able to try: Lumpia — Nothing too special, but the sauce is tasty Tapsilog*(marinated beef) — Reminded me a lot of Korean BBQ, absolutely great marinade that paired of with the garlic rice wonderfully. Usually this isn’t a problem, but there was more meat than rice! Adobosilog*(pork) — This was a bit too salty of my taste, but the runny egg and rice helped balance it. Bangsilog*(milkfish) — I’m not that keen on eating fish, but this was prepared beautifully both physically and flavor-wise. Each order with the * comes with garlic rice, choice of eggs, and the protein that you select for $ 9.25($ 12.50 for 2 choices) I’ll definitely be back and I must try the Longsilog(Sweet sausage)!!

Good Bites Café has a deceiving angled pic of chair/tables laid out in a leisurely fashion in their dining room. in fact, the tables are crammed together, only 8 at most. menu: Filipino breakfast –silog) all day, chicken adobo, chicken teriyaki, gyros, hummus, kabob, falafel, shawarma, lumpia. orders all looked –silog. eats: longsilong(sweet sausage)9.5 –small salad, large scoop of garlicky rice, 3 medium sausage, and 2 eggs any style. –everything tasted fresh. slight aftertaste from sodium or nitrate –cooked to order, not bargain pricing, better quality than food trucks –bangus(milkfish) may be best value silog definitely fave here,. unsure about nonFilipino menu items. take outs: –parking sparse

For those days when you want meat & rice for breakfast-Come hungry for comfort food! This is a mom & pop homestyle restaurant — with three menus(sorta strange, makes it hard to pick what you want!) — Filipino breakfast, american omelets, and Mediterranean. We ordered from the Filipino breakfast menu. Pick a meat, pick how you’d like your 2 eggs, and enjoy your free pita & hummus while you wait.( Unilocal pictures will give you a good idea of what to expect.) Had the sweet bacon(which is more like fatty pork chunks, not strips of American bacon) and the marinated beef. Both were delicious with the flavorful garlic rice(which I devoured). The eggs were well cooked and they have a whole selection of hot sauces to choose from! :) Comes with a side salad of lettuce, cucumber, and tomato-which is a bit strange to me, but whatever — enjoy your meat, eggs, and rice!

Overpriced comfort food. Unilocal, you have failed me again. Why is the food just«ok»? Honestly, I’d rather go eat at panda express in the next block. The item I ordered was grilled pork and it’s over cooked and dry. It costed me 14 bucks for mediocre food!

I’ve been craving Good Bites ever since I came here for the first time. I’m all about trying cool places that are unique, and this place is definitely that as it is a Mediterranean-Filipino fusion. I got their longsilog plate when I came and everything was on point. The garlic rice in particular really made the dish for me as it enhanced all the flavors of the dish. I dined there, and as an appetizer, they give you home made naan with hummus. The bread was cooked perfectly — crispy on the outside and doughy on the inside. The hummus was also super tasty. The staff was was really friendly and overall made our trip here a great time.

Been here about three times and I have yet to be disappointed. It’s a tiny place right off of the street. Seating is limited, but I have yet to go there and not be able to find a place to sit. You go up to the counter and place your order, find a table, wait to be served, eat, and then settle up and go. They are not a dinner joint, so this can be kind of limiting as far as when you can get a chance to go if you don’t work in the area. I haven’t tried a large variety of what’s on the menu. I am a creature of habit, and so I usually end up getting the spamsilog, but have also tried the sarsilog and the chicken adobo. The breakfasts include an appetizer of warm naan with hummus(I may be mistaken, but that’s what it looks/tastes like). Along with this comes eggs cooked to order, garlic rice, and a small salad with(what I think is) a light rice vinegar seasoning. Various drinks are available in a refrigerator. Sodas are by-the-can, so I don’t think they have refills on anything but water. I usually get a side-order of lumpia as well, which has been consistently crispy on the outside and tasty on the inside. It’s almost a requirement to eat in when ordering this, otherwise, it will likely have lost it’s crispiness by the time you get home. The chicken adobo is rich and flavorful. As a gut reaction, I wish that the portion of chicken was bigger, but the truth of the matter is that when you throw a bit of your rice into the mix, with the falling-off-the-bone chicken and the delicious broth, it’s more than enough to have you struggling to clean your plate. Spam is admittedly an abomination, but it worked it’s way into my comfort food memory banks early in my childhood, from my mother who is an islander, and so I will indulge now and then. It is godawfully fatty, and overly-salty, but when mixed with the right ingredients, such as the sweetness and acidity of the tomatoes in the salad, it is straight grubbin’. When stopping by with my brother, he happened to try the sarsilog(Sardine breakfast) which seemed to be kind of a dodgy choice to me. I used to like sardines when I was a child, but have since grown averse to the idea of whole canned fish, especially as the main course in any kind of meal. Well, the sardines are stewed in a tomato-based liquid, and when I somewhat-reluctantly took a small portion offered by my brother, I was pleasantly surprised. It was delicious over rice. The service has always been good. The place is casual, and there isn’t any need to dress up. Space can be tight, so it’s not really ideal for large groups, but if it’s just you, or you and 2 – 3 friends, it’s perfectly ok. Five stars. It’s a place that I enjoy and look forward to going back to.

Found this place through Unilocal on our way to SF… Great filipino breakfast! Will definitely recommend… feels like being in one of the small food places in manila or the provinces… feels like home! I took 1 star out coz had to park on the street…

Vegetarian review: 1. Always steal garlic rice & eggs from whoever you’re going with. 2. Go early. The place is small & fills up quickly. Only open from 8am-2pm. If you call, they’ll give you an Estimate for wait time. Falafel sandwich: — strangely enough, their falafels are really good. They’re crumbly and lightly fried, so they don’t feel dense. Light & fluffy, unlike any of the others I’ve had. — the sandwich is served in ½ of a large pita bread pocket, kind of like the free ½ you get when you sit down. — includes cucumber, tomatoes, lettuce, yogurt, and a sauce? I don’t remember if it’s hummus, but it’s got garlic. — sandwich was really good, all things considered.

Waited for an hour without anyone checking up on us or apologizing for the wait, or offering to place a to go order. After waiting for an hour I noticed that the people who had been inside and seated since we had arrived were JUST being served. During this time 3 different parties picked up to go food they had either placed online or called in. This was extremely disappointing. The guests who come in to sit down with you should be your first priority! Why should it take over an hour to be served rice, eggs and sausage??? We will never go here again and instead will make filipino food at home or go to Goldilocks or Rosie’s in Sunnyvale. Even more disappointing because my boyfriend LOVES filipino food and I know how excited he was to find a place like this close to home.

Walked down here this morning and delicious yet again! My mom, who comes from a family of chefs, enjoyed every bite of her chicken adobo breakfast. «It tastes like my moms!» And if you can match my grandmother’s cooking you’re a five star in my book. Friendly people and great food! Thanks good bites !

What a hidden gem find! It’s a hole in the wall café that serves up Filipino breakfast plates and Mediterranean plates. Their home-made pita and hummus are amazing, and they’re free with every meal. Wonderful. I’m sure all of their silogs are delicious. I had the longsilog(3 pieces of sausage with 2 eggs and garlic rice). It was even better than I imagined. Great place to get breakfast or lunch!

Never in my life have I experienced amazing Filipino restaurant food until I came here. Not only do they have great Filipino food, but they have AMAZING hummus and their flat bread(which resembles Naan so well) is like a pillow of fluff. My favorite part about their food is the amount of garlic used. If you’re not a garlic person, perhaps this might not be for you, but I guarantee that once you try it, you’ll love it. I ordered Tapsilog – I had garlic fried rice, sweet beef, and over-easy eggs on a plate. With it, a nice, refreshing mini salad; my drink was delicious guava nectar. My friends had hamburger patties with their food, porridge, and pork. Everything tasted amazing. It is a little bit heavy, though, so definitely don’t fill yourself up on the bread and hummus!

This is an adorable mom-and pop style place on el camino real with some delicious and unique breakfast! The interior looks like a Hawaiian diner, super cute. The staff that took my order were pretty quick and super friendly. Glad they took credit with no fee. I ordered the tocilog(sweet bacon plate — reminds me of a cross between char siu and regular bacon … Tasty but heavy) which came with 2 eggs(over medium for me!) and a small lettuce and tomato salad and a delicious and fragrant garlic fried rice. The serving was reasonably sized for the price. On the down side, it’s a little pricey(9.50) and if you get takeout, there’s a slight fee for the packaging. Some reviews mentioned bread and hummus coming with the meal but that doesn’t seem to be the case, at least with takeout. Parking seems to be side of street but this area isn’t that busy at 930 am. However it is quite good and a great place for Filipino food which is hard to come by. And now to run this yumminess off on the trail: p

5 Star Free Mediterranean Pita and Hummus! It’s not just because it’s free with breakfast, it’s so good, I live an hour away, and I came again to purchase $ 10 worth of just the pita and hummus to go! I plan to keep doing so too. Yes it’s still good out of the fridge and into the toaster oven! If you’re a Champorado fan, these guys are pretty hardcore with the chocolate the cream and the rice. Yes I also enjoyed the Bangsilog but that’s like a can’t go wrong type of dish right?(Once you get the suka in your isda you’re good to go!) With breakfast it’s one price for tea, and they give you a cute tiny cup which you can keep refilling to the left of the counter. You have to keep refilling because it’s such a petite cup! If you’re a tea hog like me, sit right next to the station so you don’t have to squeeze thru this cute café. This is my 100th review which belongs to Filipinos that make a Mediterranean Pita that is incomparable!!!
