Fred joined Jerry’s after Frank lost his lease after 50 years of service. I’ve been coming here ever since. The price for a standard cut is still $ 16. Their closing time is earlier on Wednesdays.

I think the collage of my 11 month old son(at his first hair appointment), husband and father in law having their hair cut by Jerry says it all! Relationships have been established at this place. Prices are reasonable($ 16 for a child’s cut). Clients who walk through the door are comfortable, familiar and leave looking polished. We have only been living in Belmont for 1.5 years but this barber shop embodies the small town charm that makes us want to stay!

I’ve been going to Jerry for 4 years now. It is an old school place where Jerry talks with you about sport and life while cutting your hair. He understand how I want my hair even when I try something creative. He has lollipop for kids and I’ve seen many families while waiting.

My 2 ½ year old boy got a great cut for $ 16. You have to decide whether $ 16 is worth it. In my(cheapo) book, it’s on the pricey side for a guy’s cut. I just came from Cambridge/Somerville, where Alibrandi and Fast Phil charge less. And of course I’m wondering if my todder’s little head should cost as much as an adult noggin. But I was in a rush and the babysitter is in this area. I took a look around the corner at Frank’s, and they charged the same price. Although I usually go with Unilocal,I felt adventurous and decided to give un-Yelped Jerry a try. I committed a faux pas, since there were no Unilocal reviews, and asked Jerry if he’d done a lot of little boys’ haircuts. He was not happy I asked a 40+ year Veteran of the Hairways if he had such experience. He yanked out a kid-friendly hair-catching cape and did a very professional, good-looking cut. I liked the results very much. The reason why I can’t give that fifth star is because I can’t shake the feeling it’s a few dollars too much. After tipping, it’s like $ 20 and I’ll be going there for maybe the next 15 years of my boy’s life until he goes off to college? 8) Anyway, Jerry’s good and his prices are the same as Frank’s so, for those in the area, why not give Jerry a try!
