Thoughtful space and dishes with great Greek twists. Their lamb burger and breakfast items with chicken gyro leave me happy for a long time afterward.

This is my favorite take out in Belmont, by far. Nothing is more off putting, to me, than unhappy employees and an unclean shop. My Other Kitchen has the FRIENDLIEST staff and is incredibly clean. A smile when you come and go makes a big difference. But even if they didn’t have that going for them– they have amazing food. Everything tastes fresh, homemade, and delicious. The chicken gyro on Greek salad is probably the item I get most, but they also have one of the best cheeseburgers I’ve ever tasted(unexpected– what can you do to a burger? But they made it addictive), they have great egg sandwiches, good lemon soup, and my husband and I love all their side dishes. Call ahead– it gets busy! I am so sad to be moving out of Belmont– this place is yummmmmy

Little gem, delicious Greek cuisine, we had the chicken kebabs and chicken gyro both very flavorful, generous portions and delicious. Small stylish interior but not much indoor sitting space. Staff very friendly and polite. We’ll be back.

My Other Kitchen is a solid little neighborhood place with a small but stylish interior and friendly, fast service. Its not 5 star food IMO but the over all experience is very pleasant.

Fantastic! Very impressed with the food here. Everything tastes like it’s scratch made. Everyone behind the counter was extremely friendly. The food was very fresh and incredibly tasty. Great Greek food all around! It’s mostly a take out spot since the eat in area is very very small. Only a few stools at a high top counter and that’s it. From what I understand they have some outdoor seating in the summer.

The baked muffins and the veggie omelette here are excellent. The staff is incredibly courteous as well. The only reason why I don’t give this place 5 stars is because there was not enough space inside for my family to sit all together. There are no tables, just little counters against which to sit with bar stools. There was outside seating but that’s mainly for the Spring and the Summer. All in all this a great breakfast spot in Belmont but I wouldn’t go in winter with a party bigger than 3.

I probably should give 5 stars, but I reserve 5 for«truly exceptional». The only reason to take one off is because, the food selection is not very wide, and I often have difficulties to find one for various reasons. However, food is always great. I’ve been here many many times, and I’ve had omelets, burger, sandwich, etc. The best one I had so far was the sandwich on special of the day, egg, avocado, tomato with robust bread from Iggy’s. It was one of best sandwich I’ve had in long time. It was spectacular.(I had one even better @ Strip T’s, but it was long time ago.) On average, you can expect great food, and sometimes really really good. Highly recommended.

I went here for a quick breakfast meeting with a colleague. The place is small inside and I like the convenience of them having a parking lot. They have bar stools with a shared table with window seating. I tried their breakfast sandwich special. It was a scrambled egg with avocado on sourdough bread. I asked them to add bacon, because: BACON!!! I can’t have breakfast without bacon. Initially I asked them to make my egg over easy or sunny side up instead of scrambled because I like my eggs runny and messy. The cashier forgot to tell the chef that I wanted the change but I am very, very, very glad she forgot because that scrambled egg inside the sandwich was THEBEST scrambled egg I had ever had. It was so fluffy and soft, almost like a soufflé. That was probably the fluffiest scrambled egg ever and I really wish I knew how to make one just like that. It was just perfect inside the sandwich and went well with the avocado. The bacon was nice and crunchy and it wasn’t too salty like how some store bought bacon taste. I also liked the side of country potatoes. It was nice and crunchy on the outside and soft inside. My colleague pretty much inhaled his chicken gyro breakfast wrap. Obviously he liked it. He even said he’s glad we met up there because now he has a go-to spot for quick breakfast meals. The staff was very friendly and they all smiled a lot. Who woudln’t want to deal with cheerful people in the morning? If I am back in the area, I definitely would come back here to try their lunch menu.

I have been meaning to stop in for takeout for a while, and finally had the opportunity this past Saturday. Got the lamb burger, a side of Zuchhini, and the feta and olives. And it was all fantastic. The burger was cooked exactly the way I wanted it, was flavorful and well seasoned, and moist. I didn’t bother with the tsatsiki sauce because the lamb just didn’t need it. The grilled zucchini was also excellent. And I am still thinking(in a good way) about the side of marinated olives and feta. There were slabs of that feta, and it was so good. Creamy and crumbly and sweet and salty and aromatic with spices and… I’m sorry. I needed a moment. I’m back. Anyway, thumbs up. It was delightful and I will absolutely return to try other items on the menu — soon!

Great little place. I stopped in on a quiet Saturday morning right at opening time. My tomato and feta omelet was perfectly made and came with tasty home fries and some hearty wheat toast. It’s very small, but they do have outdoor seating for warmer weather. I dined in by myself and had a pleasant conversation with two other patrons. I will definitely come back.

When prior reviewers said small… they meant it. A total of 9 stools. We waited to place our orders because they were busy with phone orders. The place was very clean and the food was very good.

Our challenge: Dinner; Family of four; Visiting in the Boston suburbs; Fulfilling the varied palate expectations of all(ranging from unsophisticated blue-box macaroni and cheese, to the adventurous gastronome); In an area smothered by pseudo-ethnic formula chain restaurants. We found a winner at «My Other Kitchen.» While the menu is not expansive, it was clear that items were selected and prepared by a chef and staff to highlight their mastery, style, flavor, quality and service. The kitchen’s passion for Food shines through. The menu, I believe, is limited by the size of the kitchen, and the chef’s commitment to high quality food, serving a fast-moving patron market. We selected items from the counter menu because our visit was not pre-planned. Our meals were prepared promptly, tasted great, and were served professionally in an appropriately casual outdoor café seating area. I noticed several things that would help the prospective diner: 1) A lot of take-out traffic by patrons that appeared to be regular customers. 2) When we asked for an item that was not on the menu, we learned that the chef would prepare items that were ordered in advance for eat-in or take-out/take home. I am envious of the people who live or work near this restaurant. Having an expert chef who will make your meal, wow. –the weight I would gain. Run down: Me, roast beef sandwich with cheddar and grilled onions(beef roasted perfectly, stacked one full inch high), Wife: Greek salad(her favorite, fresh ingredients, tasty components, she almost licked the plate, remarked, «tomatoes with flavor…»), Son: Cheeseburger,(Temperature perfect, happy with flavor)(I noticed the expert bun preparation, and baking marks), Daughter: Chicken Souvuloki,(very choice about her foods and flavors, this dish had expert marinade and grilling, also was a risk for dish licking). Sides were roasted potatoes and mashed potatoes, both nicely flavored with traditional spices. Our server checked in with us at 1 min., and the chef came by after three minutes. This is professional service. Great meal. I did not partake, but, the deserts looked delicious and prepared in-house.

Found this gem of a place using my Unilocal app! It lived up to the great reviews. Our group enjoyed lunch & breakfast items & all were outstanding & fresh. My Chicken salad with avocado was superb & came with pecans, cranberries & oranges … Also homemade pita bread! My husbands eggs, bacon & toast were prepared perfectly. Our server Virginia greeted us warmly & was very attentive. Will definitely be back & will tell friends to stop by.

For a small bedroom community, this place is perfect. It’s really a take-out place unless you’re lucky to snag an outdoor seat in the warmer months. I happened by when I had to wait for Subaru service, and I’m really glad I did. The staff is friendly, helping, and accommodating, and the breakfast was delicious! I had the avocado melt, which had perfectly crisp sourdough, oozy melted cheese, soft scrambled eggs, and ripe tomato and avocado. I got the fruit cup which was ripe and fresh as well. It’s too bad that they don’t have more seating because the place itself has adorable details like a planter box fence and container gardens to catch rainwater. I’ll definitely be trying this place for takeout on my way home during busier months!

I don’t give out 5 stars easily. But this place deserves it. Excellent quality ingredients(e.g. their bacon is charcuterie level meat) prepared perfectly. The owner /head chef knows how to cook. It’s rare to find someone who can fry eggs over _medium_. But he nailed it. Food quality: excellent Presentation: excellent Friendliness of staff: excellent The only negative here is contained within the phrase«good things come to those who wait». With everything made to order, it might take a little while(so you may want to call ahead with your order). But the quality of all the ingredients and the service is worth it.

Pretty good food. Menu doesn’t have much variety but that’s the point, I think. Other people rave about it and I have no desire or inclination to disabuse others of that notion, but I don’t think it’s really in «best thing ever» territory. Like, sure, it’s solid, but I don’t think it’s the kind of stuff I’d kill for or anything. Be warned, though: despite the small stature of the place, the dozens of five-star Unilocal reviews are clearly having the intended effect as this place is perpetually busy. The only time I’ve managed to have no wait(including having to wait for takeout) is when I managed to call in an order about 15 minutes before close and picked it up about two minutes before actual closing time.(At which point the place still wasn’t empty.)
