This is our home away from. If you want to park your RV trailer for the season, you need to check this place out Pam, Ron, and Ashley do a great job keeping the grounds in great shape. No outdoor pets allowed but indoor pets like cats or birds are accepted. We come back every summer to spend our weekends in our RV Trailer. If you want a wilderness experience, this is not your campground. If, however, you want to enjoy a quiet peaceful respite on a lake just 3 miles off I93 consider Silver Lake Park.

No. I am not an owner of this campground. This is our 3rd summer here with our RV trailer. There is one tenting site that families love because of the very convenient location and the beautiful beach on Silver Lake. We love the warm welcome that the owners give us as we return each year. We made the commitment to a porch last year and it has really enhanced the experience. If you are looking for a very convenient RV campground in the Lakes Region, check out Silver Lake Park Campground.

My friend and I(with our kids) stopped at this campground to check it out for a potential place to camp this coming July. Being early May I was especially happy that they were actually open and the woman at the desk said we could drive through and look at the tenting sites. Sounded fine! She«allowed» us to pass through the gate and we quickly came upon the tenting sites. The sites weren’t to my liking, but we thought we’d still look around. We couldn’t quite see the beach from the car so we parked and all got out to go see if it was sandy and easily accessible. As we were looking around, to what appeared to be a seasonal«camper» ground, the kids ran off to the swing sets. My friend and I were talking about the place and here comes the woman from the front desk… driving down the loan in her golf cart. She told us she gave us permission to drive through and drive out, not stop and get out. I wasn’t quite sure if she was being serious because it sounded so ridiculous. I said«we just stopped to get out and look around». She said, in her condescending voice, «there isn’t any GETTING out». What? I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I said I was thinking about staying there, but I guess I wouldn’t be and she replied«no, I guess not’. She continued by saying that we had to leave NOW and that she would follow us out(on her cart). I was astounded, dumbfounded and embarrassed for her behavior. I can’t believe anyone wanting to stay at this glorified trailer park. It’s not camping at all. Thank you Silver Lake Park Campground for your hospitality. I spent most of our ride home answering the kids questions, such as «why was that lady like that?» and«why did we have to leave so fact mom?» To be honest, its three weeks later and they still ask about the«lady at the campground». Stay away.
