I attended Pure Gravity for a workshop with Karol Helms. It was a great atmosphere, if a bit small, and the workshops with Karol were awesome. I would definitely go back if they host for workshops for sure. My only complaint is that the polers from the studio were not as friendly and more stand off ish but I won’t hold that against the studio overall. Great times!!!

I was super excited when a pole studio opened in Beloit and I was one of the first to join their classes. I love how the classes are set up based on levels and they walk you through a series of moves in each level to make sure you have them down before you move forward. The main reason for this is because of safety, they teach you to control yourself on the static pole before you go wild on the spinning poles. They also start each class of with a serious warm up that builds your core muscles and your arms muscles. Expect to go home a little sore. I recommend a child’s Dramamine before your class if you’re someone who gets a little motion sickness. Also, if you can bring a pair of sexy shoes with you it’s even more fun! The instructors are amazing and are always cheerful and ready to teach you new combinations for your level. Chelsea is my personal favorite and she makes everything looks so easy that I hate her, but only because I’m jealous. :) I’m looking forward to trying out their yoga classes too as I see the end of one of them before my pole class during the week. A girl I know takes it and loves it because it’s challenging but relaxing. I’m also intrigued by the barre class that is offered.
