This place wasn’t great. I had General Tso’s chicken and fried rice. The chicken was hot, but the sauce was was a thick and gooey mess and too sweet. The«fried rice» was just yellow rice with no vegetables or meat mixed in. Service was okay, price was average, and the interior was pretty drab. Even the fortune cookie was a bit stale.

Yummy Chinese foods! A surprising find because is how remote this place is. But we are glad we did! Unlike other fast Chinese food places, this cooks to order and I highly recommend the Lo Mein and make that spicy!

The shrimp fried rice was amazing. My husband and I were visiting Illinois from California. We didn’t know what to order. The chef, Duc, helped me decide what to get. Wish there was one back home!

Ordered delivery last week while moving into my new home. Ordered a family plate of sesame chicken, general tso’s, and a curry chicken(for my husband who is allergic to eggs). The delivery estimate was 35 – 40 minutes, typical for a Chinese restaurant. The food was excellent. The general tso’s was done right and was actually spicy, something you don’t typically find anymore. I will definitely be returning.

While passing through Beloit, I stopped for lunch takeout at Quik Wok(corner of Henry and Harrison) which is a very casual Chinese takeout restaurant. The place is order at the counter and there are several tables(self seating) inside for dining in. There are also a couple video jackpot machines and a Toy Soldier(skill crane) game machine. The menu offerings here include the standard Chinese dishes and items including Szechuan and Cantonese special dishes. Several of the dishes are offered in dinner size, family size and super size. The prices here are reasonable, most dinner size dishes under $ 10. 27 Lunch Specials(served all day) with fried rice and fortune cookie are offered too. For takeout, I ordered the L26 Happy Family($ 6.15 plus tax) served with fried rice and fortune cookie, which was all set in under 10 minutes. The hot food was served in a square styrofoam box. The main dish had a mix of shrimp, soft beef slices, and soft boneless pieces of chicken, broccoli, carrots, bamboo, snow peas, & mushrooms in a light sauce. The fried rice was served plain, soft golden rice. The food I had was decent tasting, not too salty nor too spicy. The portion size of the lunch special was good too with a small amount of leftover food for later.
