Amazing food, large portions for the $$. Love the cabbage addition! Only reason not 5 stars is due to not open for dinner hour(s). Makes it hard on us night shifters to have to run in the middle of our sleep time. Not saying it’s not TOTALLY worth it to have a great lunch carry in to work, but still… more hours open, later in the evening, would be AWESOME! Say: 5−7pm!!! I heard on the weekends there are after bar time open hours, too…hmmm!

Try tongue or spicy pork taco with onion and cilantro. They’re at the farmers market on Saturdays too!

The best tacos in the stateline, bar none. Steak tacos with the spicy sauce and lime juice is out of this world. The pork is even hotter, so be prepared. A must stop for me when I go to the farmer’s market.

Took the trip into Beloit on my lunch break today for the sole purpose of seeing what all the hubbub was about surrounding Tacos Gonzalez. Came in with Unilocal-inflated expectations and a missed-breakfast-level hunger. I parked in the Auto Zone parking lot the truck is next to and wandered up. My conversation with the unamused(but polite) man at the counter went like this: «What can I get for you?» «Spicy Pork Burrito, please.» «You want everything?» «Sure.»(he must have noted how unsure I sounded, and was kind enough to give me a second chance…) «So you want cilantro, onion, cabbage, rice, and beans?» «Sounds good.» He then asked me for $ 6.34, which I immediately felt guilty about when I glimpsed the mammoth burrito that came at me from the next window! A mega-sized tortilla filled with enough stuff to actively question my manliness to this extent should easily go for 8 dollars. And it was probably the best burrito I’ve ever had, complete with all the deliciously fresh, perfectly proportioned aforementioned toppings in gratuitous quantities and a fantastically smoky and spicy chipotle salsa. All from a taco truck next to an auto parts store in Beloit, Wi. Never, ever would have guessed. Unilocal and its wonderful community of foodies has done me right once again. Will be stopping here whenever I need a burrito fix at lunch from now on. You should too.

SI! SI! SI! SI! Tacos Gonzalez is the best thing Beloit has going for it! The taco’s are amazing. I have tried them all, there is not a bad one. My only advice, is go without the cabbage. They add the perfect amount of onion and cilantro! The meat is tender and packed full of flavor! Some days the salsa is HOT, some days mild, but never bland or lacking heat. Not in a taco mood? feeling a little more than peckish? BURRITO! This thing is massive! I find the bean to meat and rice ratio is always well balanced. The flour shell is perfect. This place is affordable! If you are poor college student, tired of sucking down cup’o noodles for breakfast lunch and dinner, Tacos G is the place for you! No longer parked in the Advance Auto Parts parking lot, you will find them in a parking lot just north of AutoZone on 4th. Which is fine by me, Advance Auto Parts are the diarrhea of auto parts stores!

Holy taco, compadre! This mobile gem in the Advance Auto Parts parking lot kills all the competition in Beloit. They rock the authentic Mexican food, preparing it fresh, making up each person’s order to that person’s specifications: i.e., salsa verde instead of chipotle salsa, hold the beans or can I have black beans instead, extra lime with my tacos, por favor. The pricing is in line with the quality and quantity of food. The signature burrito, available with many choices of veggies, has at least 6 protein options. Basically, what you have with Taco Truck is great Mexican food, with a jillion ways to «have it your way». Well worth your time, gas and $. Best buy based on quantity, quality and pricing. Can’t recall seeing their truck on site during the weekends, but they hunker down on MON-FRI.

Had heard about the Taco Gonzalez food truck-but had not tried it till last week. Wow, what a treat! Awesome steak tacos. The warm tortillas, well spiced steak meat with cilantro & cabbage — Amazing! I’ll be trying the spicy pork tacos next time I’m in Beloit. Oh, and yes, very generous portions.

Well, wow. If your ever in Beloit, WI and don’t want to eat fast food(which seems like they only other option), then go to the Advanced Auto Parts off of Milwaukee Ave. This place had a little Mexican woman cooking and it was very authentic! I had a beef taco, which was so F’ing good and a chicken taco, which was alright — wished I ordered 2 beef instead though. My brother had the chicken burrito, which from the way he swallowed it seemed to be good. Missing star? I didn’t like my chicken taco and they didn’t have horchata! If I’m ever in Beloit again though, I will eat here!

If you’re in Beloit, you’re gonna go past some restaurants that look BOSS. You’re gonna drive past them and say«hmm.» You’ll tell yourself that maybe next time you’ll try that place… but you won’t. You’ll drive your trick ass to Advance Auto Parts and get a big burrito from Tacos Gonzalez… every. single. time. Tacos Gonzalez is the undefeated champion of Beloit cuisine.

We were on a trip from Peoria to Milwaukee, and started getting hungry around Rockford. we’ve never had much luck in Beloit, but thanks to Unilocal this time was different! I launched the app, and the first hit was Taco Gonzales! We’ve been a fan of great tacos ever since we’d ate what was purported to be the«Worlds Greatest Tacos» in Indiana Beach. Well, the Taco Truck in Beloit did not disappoint! The tacos are a mere $ 2 each– you can choose steak, marinated pork, tongue, chicken and other meats. The salsa is spicy!(aichi wa wa!!) but the tacos are great!

Usually parked in the Advanced Auto Parts parking lot off the Portland Street bridge, serves authentic and excellent tacos with chopped cabbage and cilantro topping traditional meat choices and an otherworldly chipotle salsa. Not your typical gringo Wisconsin fare. On par with the better taco trucks in the SF Mission.
