Delicious Modern Thai Cuisine! I have dined at Narunya’s several times since they opened, and have never been disappointed. The food is always piping hot, and seasoned to perfection. A few of my personal favorites are the Bite my Belly appetizer(pork belly with pickled veggies and sauce — SOGOOD), Red Curry Duck, and the Sweet Banana Rolls. Normally I’m not a dessert person, but all of the desserts at Narunya’s are worth splurging for.(Try the coconut ice cream if nothing else!) Everything is beautifully plated, and the ambiance is perfect for anything from a casual lunch to date night.

Terrible. The service was offensive. Even though the place was empty they tried to set us at a table with a scalding sun coming through the window. When I asked for a different table you would have thought I insulted the young lady. Next we asked for silver ware and that was terrible. They finally brought one set of silver ware for a table of two. When I asked if they had wine the lady pointed to an unattended bar and said ya have to deal with that over there. I don’t know anything about that. It was like they did not want us to be there or ever come back.

What a perfect lunch spot. The service is attentive, the menu while brief, is full of flavors and options. Curry, dumplings, noodles, fried rice, and more. I started with the dumplings, served in a sauce is the perfect appetizer. We ordered pad thai and another Thai dish, they were very accommodating with the need for gluten free meals. We ended with the sticky rice with mango. They serve a lemon grass green tea, iced; my wife is in love with this.

I have dined here four times. Best Thai food in the area IMO. Love the coffee and teas. The food is always good. If you are a fan of spicy food make sure you ask for the max spice or the one just below, otherwise you will be disappointed. Nice clean environment and outdoor seating in downtown Belton.

I have eaten here twice. The first time I got the panang curry. To my surprise, my friend and I received complimentary fire balls. I was okay with this meal. If you are accustomed to eating Thai food a lot, you will know that even mild can be very spicy. The mild level of heat at Narunya’s has hardly any heat. During my second visit, my husband and I ordered pad Thai. The server did not ask us how spicy we would like our food to be. When our meals came to the table, the food smelled exactly like wet dog. We ate a few bites, but the odor made the food very unappetizing. There was not much flavor or heat to this food. Unfortunately, the rest of it went in the trash can. I hate throwing food away, but neither of us have any desire to eat the leftovers. It is safe to say we will not be returning. For the price we paid, we could have had a much better meal elsewhere. Next time I want Thai, I will drive to Little Thai in Harker Heights.

My mom came here with her friends a few weeks ago, and I’ve been craving Thai food. Checked the reviews on Unilocal & they got really good ratings so. we just left & I L-O-V-E-D it! I don’t know how much more clearer I can make it, if spelling out the word loved wasn’t enough to express how much I enjoyed their food. But if you’re like me when it comes to Thai restaurants then, ordering Thai Tea is a no-brainer. Your heart & stomach already knows to order this before your mind thinks to order it lol. The glass is tall & compared to all the other places I’ve been, the price is right for the amount & taste. I needed no refill. I ordered panang curry & this was different because It had lemon grass. The lemon grass taste surprised me, but in a splendid taste enhancing way. It is the most delicious panang curry I’ve ever had. Sorry mother-in-law, your panang curry is 2nd place now! Our server was so sweet & so nice! My daughter is loquacious & active so she was talking/singing up a storm, but our server didn’t look annoyed or act that way. She was super kind & even played with our daughter & gave her treats. FORPARENTS – I personally don’t like getting boosters/high chairs because they’re always dirty & sticky. I know kids aren’t the cleanest creatures, but this place was very clean & their high chair was like brand new. Just an FYI! Hope you guys enjoy this place as much as I did!

For a little town find, this is a treat! Clean, wonderful staff, and amazing Thai food! The appetizers list Dumplings as a Chef Specialty… don’t miss this! It comes out in a tasty broth, enough for two people to have a few dumplings each. It was so good I just had two orders for my lunch.

So I gave this place a shot but… i was disappointed. I went on a cold evening a few weeks back and couldn’t wait to get inside to warmth and hopefully good food, instead the restaurant was just as cold inside as it was outside and the metal chair i was seated in didn’t help. The wait staff were not very attentive, i had to flag someone down just to refill my water glass after it hit empty for 10 mins. The food was more expensive than i had anticipated and the serving size was very small, i can get triple the amount of food for less at mee mee’s! And the most important part: the taste, i was disappointed with the yellow curry I ordered, it was ok but it didn’t satisfy my curry craving. So I think i will stick with Mee Mee’s from now on. One final note: their parking lot is horrible to get in and out of.

Amazing food, Great service. Just a wonderful surprise. They really care about the plate presentation and the quality of the ingredients. By far the best Thai restaurant in the area.

As someone who commutes between Dallas and Austin, there is always the question of where to have dinner when I find myself on the road at the wrong time — or, as luck would have it with the discovery of this wonderful Thai restaurant, the right time. The food was delicious. I ordered the crispy chicken basil. The chicken breast was still juicy and the veggies were still slightly crisp, exactly the way I like them. I also ordered a Thai iced coffee for the road, the latter being good(but not great). Overall: 4.5 stars and highly recommended.

Went back to give this place another try and it was a better. We wanted to start with the dumplings but they ran out at 5:45. According to several reviews this seems like s common occurrence. The servers were nice but just didn’t seem we’ll trained and were slow. This time they asked me the heat level on my food which is what should happen. I always eat Thai spicy and they gave it to me and it was perfect. The last time they didn’t even ask me my spice level and when I requested Thai spicy, they told me that I could add my own peppers if I wanted to. We ordered duck curry and pad prik. Both dishes were delicious. We’ll probably go again now with the better experience. Mee Mees is still our favorite, but I would come here if I was in the downtown area.

I’ve eaten at many Thai restaurants and this one places mediocre amongst them. I ordered Pad See Eww, great plating but overall was not seasoned well. I requested the medium spice level as I usually do when visiting a Thai restaurant for the first time. I should have gone with the max spice because the dish was not flavorful at all. This place is located down town not much around it. Why someone said this was one of the top two in Belton… No idea. Here is feedback on specific things: 1. Staff — friendly 2. Atmosphere — clean, spacious except for the location of the restrooms which appeared to have been shared with an attached building. It’s behind several doors where you can see the cooks preparing food, abandoned catering equipment, unused banquet area, dark and weird. 3. Lemon grass ice tea — usually my favorite but this one tasted just like Fruit Loop cereal. I asked the waitress for water instead and told her my opinion and SHEAGREED!!! No idea why it tastes that way 4. Prices — not expensive at all 5. Food — vegetable spring rolls were tasty but a little on the greasy side and noodles needed more seasoning

This is one of my top two fav Thai restaurants in the Temple/Belton area. The food is great, I usually get one of the currys. The service is always very nice. If you haven’t checked it out I highly recommend you do.

I can say that this is one of the top two Thai restaurants in Bell County(Mee Mee’s being the other in the running). Narunya’s curries are the stand out: green and yellow being my favorite. The deserts are also very creative and delectable. Though perfectly enjoyable, the Pad Thai does not hit a home run. I’m yet to try any of the fried rice dishes, though I’ve noticed many other patrons eating them. When the restaurant first opened, they had some issues with food taking a bit too long to prepare. They have recently remedied this situation. Along with the pleasant wait staff and cute street-side atmosphere, this has become one of my favorite restaurants around town.

Stop Now! Come here immediately! Double date night brought me here and everyone loved their meals, and the environment. The Pad Thai and Pad Se Ew were awesome, but u can get that at several places. The Red Curry Duck made me want to take the chef home ;). The duck skin was super crisp and scored so the crunch broke apart in my mouth like a crispy piece of bacon. Under the amazingly cooked duck skin was the perfectly prepared duck breast that melted away and transformed into happiness. Tack on a wonderful Thai Ice Tea to cool off a smidgen of spicy and you will be in heaven. The spicy dumpling, and pork my belly appetizers were on point and got our pallets warmed up for the main course. The place just got its liquor license so beer and wine are on the menu too. If the chef has the time permitting she personally visits your table and welcomes you and ensures your visit is spectacular. Enjoy.

Definitely fresh and delicious Thai food! I am from NYC and have lived in San Francisco and Sydney(two other cities known for their great Asian food) and I was impressed with the quality of their food here. We had the veggie spring roll appetizer, pineapple fried rice with chicken and pad see eew with beef. All were outstanding! The pad see eew was definitely different than I am accustomed — very veggie and meat heavy, not sauce and noodle heavy like most places — and had a lot lighter flavor for its brown sauce. The pineapple fried rice was definitely the most flavorful and unique that I’ve ever had. Now, for the lemongrass crème brûlée dessert… Yum!!!

I’m always looking for a good Thai restaurant, and Narunya’s does a good job. It’s at a good location, easy to get in and out. The service was very good. The menu has what you’d expect. I’ll admit, Mee Mee’s is still my favorite for the area, but if you just want a change up, without sacrificing for quality this place won’t let you down.

The staff was personable and the dining area was pleasantly cozy, but the food just wasn’t very good. I’m kind of suprised at all the glowing reviews, but I’m going to have to side with Diana Z. on this: «The flavor was just off.» And it was pricey. That wouldn’ t be a problem if I really enjoyed my meal, but I didn’t. In fact, it made me sick to my stomach. Maybe it was what I ordered. Here’s a run-down: Thai Ice Tea: Nice presentation and tasted like Thai iced tea. A9: Spicy Dumpling. The dumplings had a nice texture, a good balance of filling vs. wrapper and were certainly spicy, but the flavor was a little weird. It was almost soury, like kimchi. I definitely liked the broth more than the dumplings. P2: Crispy Basil Chicken. The menu reads«Your choice of crispy chicken, crispy tofu or crispy eggplant topped with stir fried ground pork in Narunya’s chilies sauce.» I was served soggy chicken nuggets drenched in a funky, overly-salty sauce and topped with overcooked vegetables. There was no pork in sight, nor basil. It didn’t match the menu description at all and just wasn’t very appetizing. The owner came out afterwards and asked what we thought of the food. I tactfully told him what I thought and he pretty much shot down everything I said. «You say the vegetables are overcooked, but the next person will say they are raw.» Hmm, soggy snowpeas the color of canned peas? Sure, those are raw. Um hmm. Right. And he insisted that they aim to please so if I don’t like something that I should send it back and they’ll cook me something else. Oh and I should make sure to tell the server how I want the vegetables cooked. Well, guess what. It won’t be an issue, because I won’t be back. Maybe my idea of customer service is a little different, but if a customer says that she really didn’t care for the food and you want her return business, don’t bother to talk about what she SHOULD do next time. Do something about it right then. Oh and while you’re at it, do something about that walk to the bathroom. When the front dining area is all pretty and then the bathroom is all dirty with haphazardly painted walls and grimy doors it makes you wonder what else is hidden below the surface.

Home run on their first at bat. This little gem would shine in any setting, we are lucky to have it in Belton. Here we go: Atmosphere was very nice, open and comfortable. Décor well done. Very clean. Wait staff VERY attentive and friendly. Menu is encompassing but not overwhelming. Food selections made sense and menu item descriptions are on point. Thai tea and Thai coffee… this made me happy by itself. Appetizer we had was the Spicy Dumpling. The presentation was spot on and the food was too — delicious. The sauce the dumplings were in was so good I saved some for my rice. Entrees were chicken(P4) mild for my wife and crispy chicken with basil, Thai spicy for me. Again presentation was great and the food amazing. Wife is convinced hers was better than mine but I have no idea as she refused to share. Pepper content and heat were perfect. Looked at the entrees being delivered to other patrons and it is very apparent that the chef has some mad skills. Desserts were next and did not disappoint. Presentation amazing, taste to match. Sticky rice and sorbet and also tried the fried bananas. Picture perfect. Size portions were perfect. Only negative was that we had to leave. This is now my wife’s favorite spot. Well done.
