Whistle Stop

This place took me by surprise. We will ignore the little boutique in the rear corner because that seemed out of place. The product in the store was fancier than what we shop for, but the pricing on it seemed perfect. Everything we looked at and guessed prices were under what we expected to pay. That’s a great surprise.

Lovely main street shop with a fun owner. This business is part of the Main Street Business Association in Belton, MO. This is a lovely antique shop that also sells some lovely new gift items such as handbags and sachets. The selection of antiques ran the gamut of everything from some lovely pieces of furniture to jewelry and toys. There are items for both men and women (fishing lures and reels to jewelry and dishes). There was a nice selection of hats throughout store. There were some lovely vintage coats and some lovely dishes. I thought all the items I looked at were reasonably priced. This is going to be one of my go to shops for that unique one of a kind gift for friends and family.
The shop takes consignments (or so I guessed since the tags had vendor numbers on them) and I got to speak with a jewelry artist who sells her jewelry through this shop.
There is both a back and front entrance.
A visit to this shop is worth the drive to Belton and there are a lot of other unique shops to check out on Belton’s Main Street.
