Unethical business practices!!! Everything was all fine and dandy, until there was a glitch and my payment didn’t go through. But they don’t tell you when there is an error, or that you have a past due amount. they charge you a $ 20 late fee and then a $ 50 lockout fee and then an additional $ 10 because they had to charge the lockout fee. So $ 80 in late fees for ONE late payment… And no one can help you. The customer service representative was rude, didn’t even ask my name or account information, just said you didn’t pay, you pay the fees. Went into the facility to talk to someone. The lady I spoke with said there was nothing she could do, I can’t do anything, «they» won’t fix it, they never do. When I asked for a manager, he was more courteous, but still couldn’t do anything and no one from corporate would be available(they can’t even call them, only email.) I asked for him to email my information, he said they should call me the next day. Guess who never got a call?

When I moved out of my law office a year ago, was looking for a safe and clean place to store everything from antique office furniture to old files. EZ in Beltsville was maintained in a pristine condition and with the highest degree of cleanliness. Found staff to be helpful and friendly. At times even with incoming calls and customers waiting, their employees were courteous and helpful and questions were quickly answered. Moved out a month ago, and the cancellation process was both easy and efficient. Well done, and high grades.

This place is interesting to say the least and I do not mean interesting in a positive way. I will say the facilities are decent and very well maintained. Very clean and they make sure the facilities always look nice. If you are looking for even okay customer service or staff that is helpful or at the very least nice… this is NOT the place for you! I am a property manager myself and everyone knows that the customer experience is the most important part of managing a facility since it does not matter how nice your facility looks if you make your clients feel bad. So I’d suggest higher up management of this facility to invest in some extensive customer service training for the on-site staff. The girl with the blonde hair that typically works weekends is extremely rude. I don’t even remember her name because after many interactions with her being extremely rude to me I quickly lost interest in remembering her name. She is also the smoking and drink Natzi of the facility since this is a non-smoking facility and you are also not allowed to take drinks inside with you when accessing your unit. She will literally walk outside to yell at you if you are not smoking in the area literally right against the road where this no curb by the way or if you are taking a drink of any type even water inside with you. She could just ask in a polite way, but she literally yells at people and it’s pretty clear when you observe her doing this that the people she yells at have no idea about the rule. So maybe they should do a better job of setting a specific detailed expectation about this upfront with their clients(again a lack of basic customer service skills). We recently moved out of our unit and we are so glad we did. We paid until the last day of the month and decided to start moving some items out seven days before the end of the month. The manager approached us as we were loading some items and he asked us «You out yet?» Multiple times. I was a little shocked since the way it was said was a.) not professional, b.) not customer service focused especially because he said it in a gruff way and c.) inappropriate since we paid until the end of the month. There is definitely a different way for him to ask the same question if he wants to know in a more positive way. We responded to him in a friendly way with«we have to come back for one more load since one large item would not fit on the truck» and he looked at our truck with the response of «oh you can fit it on that truck». Then he walked away. So clearly the lack of customer service comes from the top down. For the price you pay here you should get both a good customer experience and a nice facility! So with all that said, if you are looking for a nice facility to store your items that offers horrible customer service then this is the place for you!
