A beautiful, very scenic harbor located between Belvedere and Tiburon. For land-based explorers, it is best to see Belvedere Cove from Beach Road(see China Cabin). You can access the ‘beach’ from steep stairwells off the cliffs of Belvedere, also on Beach Road. The beach is very rocky but is rumored to have good fishing, but you will need to caste out. If you are boating it makes a good spot to drop anchor, have lunch, do some fishing or you can use it to spend the night. Depending on how far into ‘The Cove’ you go, the majestic views include the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, Belvedere Island, Tiburon, and San Francisco Bay. Belvedere Cove is home of the San Francisco Yacht Club, the oldest Yacht Club West of the Mississippi. The Club is widely recognized as the premier yachting facility on the West Coast. It operates a year round facility including a dry haul area, a full service restaurant and bar. The Club also has a very active junior sailing program and all members are committed to the Corinthian traditions of yachting.
