Good food, good service, cool furnishings, very Mexican. It is located in my neighborhood so I go there often. I have gotten to know several employees and have learned several Spanish words and phrases.

Been there the last 2 years for my birthday. Get a regular Texas style fish bowl Margarita on the rocks. Sometimes 2, but I never have to drive afterward. Almost always order the Nachos El Carbon or the Nacho Cheese burrito. Chips and salsa are good, stay away from the hot salsa unless you are very brave and like very hot salsa. My favorite place to drink margaritas in Bemidji. But you have to go Texas style or you won’t taste the tequila. Not sure what type they use but I like it.

I found the food to be better than most Mexican restaurants in Minnesota. For those not into Mexican food, there is not much for American food.

We moved here from California twelve years ago, and(besides the weather) the thing we missed the most was good Mexican food. The only Mexica restraint we had was T Juans, and it was awful. Then came Mi Rancho. The food is excellent, and the service is fast, friendly, and efficient. You can find Sally and I there most Friday evenings, enjoying the Carne Asada. Do yourself a favor and drop in for a meal!

Delicious! One of my favorite places to go in Bemidji. Clean atmosphere, friendly staff, fresh salsa, great fajitas, and good margaritas. What else can you ask for?

I will never go to this crappy place again. I ordered the steak and chicken fajitas and I got a steaming plate of onions and bell peppers and maybe a few miniscule slivers of beef and chicken. What a ripoff! Very little value for the money. Should be called ‘Mi Ripoff’

Great food, nice ambiance & fast, friendly servers. The complimentary chips & salsa were tasty and our server kept the basket full(we were with a group). We both had the steak chimichanga & it was one of the best ever. It was not greasy at all.

Chips were fresh, salsa was delicious, margaritas were great. Decent service. The queso dip=bland, the enchiladas and tacos were bland, and the chipotle burrito was… … No bueno. Topped with a massive amount of sauce, it was a huge portion. I’m talking a foot long. Beans and rice were bland. But overall taste was bland for all three dishes.

We stopped for lunch and took a chance that this would be like California Mexican Food, it was except for the flaked and formed Taco Shells! We had a combo Taco and Chili Rellano!!!

Amazingly good authentic Mexican food so far north! The décor is great and the servers are fast and friendly(and appreciated good natured attempts at Spanish.). The margaritas were strong and tasty. And the food was so good that we all wound up sharing so that we could taste everything. One weird thing… When the server asked where we were from we told him Philadelphia. He crinkled his nose and said«really?» In a disapproving tone. Way to insult your guests before taking drink orders. He rebounded later though.

Decent food and friendly service. Wouldn’t mind seeing better quality ingredients. My steak quesadilla was tasty and crispy which was awesome. The steak was too thinly sliced and basically disappeared amidst everything else. The real downer was the margaritas. Three of us had them at our table and the server brought them out in under five minutes. Was disappointed that it was a slushy premade version of a margarita. Might go back for food but will definitely stick with water or soda.

Absolutely delicious Mexican food that is way more authentic than is to be expected in northern MN. Highly recommended.

Growing up in Tucson and in Colorado, I need Mexican food in order so survive. And I get despondent when I accidentally consume mediocre or terrible Mexican food, which is one of the reasons I left New York City after too many years. So, I was skeptical at first but absolutely delighted when my sister, mother, and I were served delicious, healthy and beautiful enchiladas, taquitos, and grilled chicken salad at Mi Rancho. Bravo, Bemidji!!! After 25 years of coming up here, I’m getting what I need in my belly!

I spend a month in the Bemidji area every summer and eat at Mi Rancho every change I get! Service is consistently excellent, have never had to wait. Chips are fresh and warm and the salsa is delicious. This is a popular place with my friends as well and we never tire if eating here which is not normal for me :) I always get the same dish — I know that’s weird but I love it so much. I am a huge fan of chile rellenos — would eat them every day if I could. Anway — Mi Rancho has THEBEST chille rellenos ever. Huge chili, stuffed with cheese cooked to perfection every time. Highly recommend! Not the premade deep fried crapola usually served a Mexican places. Very nice atmosphere, family friendly — highly recommend!

There isn’t much to choose from for restaurants in this town, but I was craving chips and salsa for lunch. The outside doesn’t really give you any sense of what the place will be like on the inside. Inside was pretty authentic in colors, décor and the staff even spoke Spanish. We quickly were given a basket of warm chips and fresh salsa. The best addition to the chips was adding the white queso dip! It was so good I decided I really didn’t need a meal. I did try some of the chicken enchilada and taco which someone else in my party ordered. They seemed to have a very large selection on the menu and the lunch specials were an entire page. I will be back again next time I’m in town to try a meal and more queso dip!

Where to begin? The server called me «amigo» at every opportunity and I am a woman, he is a fluent spanish speaker, so… It should be amiga if you’re going to insist on doing this. So bizarre. It seemed like his boss made him do this and it is insane. The food was bad. Edible, but bad. I had a steak taco, steak burrito, and a chile relleno. The taco was a joke; flavorless gristle-ridden steak, no onion, cilantro, avocado, or queso fresco, as is standard on all tacos in or near Mexico I’ve ever had. The burrito was just the same flavorless steak wrapped in a tortilla and covered in salsa and cheese. The chile relleno was probably the best part, but certainly nothing exciting or memorable. I had a bite of a tamale from someone else’s plate and that was the only decent(but not good) thing served that night. However, they covered it in salsa and cheese. Not how tamales are supposed to be served. All that said, they have cheap domestic and imported beer, so I might go back, but not for food.
