Desert Orthopedics

My initial experience was okay… Only seen by an assistant and still charged a ton of money. Then I called in to ask a question about my injury and the receptionist was pretty rude. She put me on hold a couple times then didn’t let me speak to anyone– she (a RECEPTIONIST) told me to ice it. Ummm. Yeah. Thanks. I cancelled my upcoming appointment.

Recieved a phone call from Dr. Walther and now my opinion of her is even lower than before. She tried to tell me that when she examind me I had «no pain» and «no swelling.» Completely preposterous. There were more than 20 people who saw me screaming in pain at the Bend Athletic Club and even more who saw me have to be helped off the tennis court.
Then she says, so if you thought your injury was severe, why didn’t you order the MRI? Why didn’t I order an MRI? You’re the freaking doctor! I don’t have a medical degree. I trusted you. I paid YOU to tell me what I needed.
When I disputed the notion that it was my job to self-​diagnose, she said, «I don’t have to deal with crazy patients like you.» Every doctor makes mistakes but an honest one will at least own up to them. Shame on them. Stay away!

I came here to have my back examined. I continually have lower back pain and will throw out my back multiple times a year which keeps me home from work.
I saw Marilyn and had a great experience. After some x-​rays she talked to e and showed me what was happening and why. Then we discussed possible treatments including some physical therapy or doing some deep water core strengthening classes at Juniper pool.
Again, great experience and I feel like the visit was thorough and I really liked how she showed/​explained the x-​Ray to me… Apparently I have an extra vertebrae. Who would’ve thought?!

I have had my elderly Dad in to Desert Orthopedics several times now. Everyone is extremely nice, caring and compassionate… and, very good at what they do! Dr. Hoblet is amazing, and Dr. Finter awesome! Front desk staff, X-​Ray staff, back office, medical assistants, physicians… all professional and so very kind. Highly recommend to anyone in need of exceptional orthopedic care.

Everyone is so great! They have worked with me on payments and always get my work pre authorized. Dr Askew and Brie are the best! If I every have a concern or question they always call me back ASAP! I highly recommend Desert Orthopedics.
