Discount Tire Store – Bend, OR

I have been running Hankook Dynapro ATM tires on my Duramax for the last 200K miles and have been very happy with them, I called to get my fourth set and they no longer stock them but could order them and «upgraded» me to a slightly more expensive tire the Cooper Discoverer at the same price. I immediately noticed some vibration at 70MPH and took them back in for another balance and was told they were going to order me another Cooper as one of them was requiring in excess of 12 oz of weight, this was after I had been there quite a while as they tried to balance it. I balked at the offer and said actually I would prefer to get the tire I wanted in the first place before my «upgrade». While I expected resistance I was instead very pleased with a no problem we will get those ordered and give you a call when they come in. Still fearing trickery I said I am heading to Shasta tomorrow and after my return am immediately heading to Portland to do an install so you can expect a couple of thousand miles by the time you see me again. Another «no problem» and as promised they called and said your tires are in and they promptly installed them with no attitude nor fuss.
Bravo to Discount Tire for making what I feared to be a protracted fight into a customer pleasing experience, they don’t make the tires they just install and service them and I feel the service was top notch.

Can’t recommend them enough! Took care of my daughter today like she was family. A lot of places don’t care about people like this anymore!

My wife went in last week to have them look at a tire that was low. We bought several sets of tires there. They ignored her and took care of several male customers that came in after her. This includes the manager. I’m done with them. She went up the street to Les Schwab and they took immediate care of her. Now we’re buying a new set of tires from them.

These people are great! I went in for a flat repair. Left with a new tire and was very happy with their service, professionalism. Anton was asst Mgr. Very helpful! I can’t say enough good about them. Don’t buy tires anywhere else!

Best place to buy tires. Adam and RJ are very knowledgeable and dedicated to exceptional customer service. I was a long time Les Schwab customer. Anytime I thought i found a better deal, they beat it. I have lots of vehicles and I go to them for all of them. When you leave their store, you’ll feel like you got a good deal. Everytime I go there, they exceed my expectations. For now, they have all of my business.
It’s nice not having to shop at a ton of places for the best quote. I am the type that shops all options for 3 hrs to save 50 $. Now, I see if the internet has better deals after their quote. I always find that they beat Internet prices, if not, they are comparable. Except, they install them, service and warranty them. They also gave me a military discount for being a veteran. It’s a no brainer.
This has been my experience since Brian was the old manager (over two years). I wish they did brakes and suspension too, I love saving money.
Sorry Schwab, your 50k toyo tires only last 25k and you suggest I replace them??? So I pay to mount, balance and warranty them again… sniff, sniff… scam. Your popcorn isn’t THAT good. I think I’ll opt out.

This place is amazing!!! I will never buy a tire anywhere else in my life. They are professional and efficient and knowledgable. I’ve never had such a positive experience. This gives me faith in good business practices. So much better than Les Schwab!

Once again these guys smoke the competition. Adam the store manager is back, people person he is. Schwab wanted $ 670 for a set of premium tires done. These guys did there set for $ 475.They have a 90k mile warrenty and the old OE tires always had road noise since new. Adam said these tires are quiet, wow what a difference. These guys do a great job for a fair price.

A very White Christmas necessitated a change from all-​weather to winter tires, while staying in Sunriver Resort. The website enabled me to research and pick-​out some Michelin Latitude Ice Pros, get an out-​the-​door price, set up a service appointment at the Bend store, and be informed about a mail-​in rebate. Worked like a charm from check-​in at the store thru the drive back over Lava Butte to Sunriver. Couldn’t have been more efficient and informative. Customer service via the website and in-​store staff was excellent. A shout-​out of THANKS is extended to all involved.

Have bought from this company for years, They have consistently been the cheapest for me. However, their service has been terrible recently. I brought my snow tires in and found out they were recalled. I did not receive any notice of this until I had showed up and I spent a whole winter on recalled tires. They told me the new tires would arrive in 3 to 4 business days. They would not make a new appointment for me because they were too busy. I am still waiting two weeks out for the warranty tires. I’ve called the store multiple times. On the few occasions they do pick up the phone, i’m left on hold and no one answers the phone after checking how long ‘in transit’ means. Definitely would pay more to go to Les Schwab in the future; they have someone who answers the phone and I highly doubt I would receive this kind of service.

Very nice fast and efficient but be for warned they talk fast and try and convince you to buy more than needed just know your tires or have someone who dies go in with you I would love an honest mechamic or tire person but i guess everyone needs to make s buck

Comparison shopped & these guys were the best prices. They did screw up when mounting my new tires & neglected to call me to pick up my luxury SUV. It was a Saturday & the store was closed after my vehicle had been there for several hours & they were closed the next day. My keys were nowhere to be found, & my vehicle was unlocked with my personal information out to be stolen. After several phone calls, the store manager was on his way. The bill had not been paid & I was expecting at least some sort of discount.. Instead, he waived the entire bill! Almost $ 700 worth of tires, service, warranty, etc. I will definitely be returning & forwarding business their way! !

I went into Discount Tires looking for some new wheels for my car & the guys were very informative & helpful. with suggestions & tips for when I figured out what I really wanted. searched online & narrowed it down & once I ordered the new wheels it took maybe a week for them to get shipped in.
I dropped my car off the day they came in & not even 2 hours later they were calling me to pickup my car!!!
Bryan & RJ helped me out & did everything with a smile, I really appreciated all their help thru the process!

I had an appointment at 8am to swap my snow tires out for my performance tires. It’s 8:44am and I have been home for 15 minutes. They removed snow tires, mounted performance tires, balanced them, and had me on my way by 8:30. They get 5 stars for speed. I watched them do the job… they were fast, meticulous, and torqued everything to factory specs. They did a great job, and should I need new tires/​rims I will be back!

America tires is now discount tired. What a class act that puts customer service above all else. Had one flat tire after another… ran over a nail. They went out of their way to get me into the store to make sure I was on the road in no time. With a smile ! Bryan is a true customer service pro!

America’s Tires is now Discount Tires. I currently own a number of vehicles both for highway and off-​road use. The total number of tires I own, and have to replace when needed, currently totals 42. Let’s say I have some experience in purchasing tires.
I have seen many different «takes» and unscrupulous tactics used by various tire shops throughout the years. One of the most common is when the shop doesn’t mention certain expenses when quoting tire prices over the phone. I always get an «out the door» price to prevent this type of miscommunication.
Well, let if be known, that Discount Tires intentionally leaves out certain expenses when quoting prices. In my case it was TPMS (tire pressure monitoring system) and valve stems. When I dropped off the car the salesman and I went over the phone quote and all seemed to be in order. When I returned they had added, without my knowledge, approval, or notice, whatsoever, new valve stems and TPMS. The vehicle came equipped with existing TPMS in perfect working order and valve stems which were in great shape. The wanted to charge me an additional $ 100. When I complained they agreed, quite rapidly, to not charge me for the afore mentioned items.
Why did they install items I did not need??? You be the judge. Why didn’t they call me on the phone number that was left with them??? You be the judge.
I hope the new TPMS is of similar or better quality than the factory. Who knows? I would never change out a working system from the factory for an unknown product!
Well you have been warned. If you choose to do business here be very careful and make sure to get a written estimate, copy in hand, before you let them work on your tires.

My tire warning light came on this morning for the TPMS system. I’d checked my tire pressure a few days ago so thought it might be something more serious. I stopped in here, they checked my tires, one was very low, they aired it up, reset the computer to clear the error code and I was on my way in about 10 minutes with no charge. I might have a slow leak in that tire and they suggested to just keep an eye on it. If I end up needing replacement winter tires I’ll be buying them here. Got my summer ones here last year and got a great deal. Thanks for the great customer service.

These guys at America’s Tire Store, Bend, Or.(Discount Tire), are impressive to say the least… way way beyond! I bought a set of tires there today. As it turned out, the rims I had, used «spacers» in order for the wheels (off-​set) to clear the calipers and they could not get enough «turns» on the lug-​nuts to legally install the tires. I was stuck! I brought some other old wheels to them, but there was a problem with them also. They said they wanted me to be a satisfied customer and leave their store with a safe install. Realizing that I was now in a bind, they installed new wheels on my car and sent me on my way with a smile on my face and no additional charge.
They have me as a customer for life… I would never do tire business anywhere other than with them. And also, they DID beat all other tire prices that I had looked in to.
I recommend that anyone looking for tire. try them… you will not be sorry.

Fantastic service and great prices. I was given multiple options for new tires by Bryan and all were explained well and thoroughly with pros and cons. Quality time was taken and I feel comfortable and confident in my selection.
I was also very impressed with their customer service with everyone. I witnessed a very (old) grumpy person who had nothing good to say and nothing but complaints. RJ handled it perfectly and politely. Being in the customer service field, my employees could learn something from these guys.
Do yourself a favor and skip Les Schwab. These guys are the real deal. You won’t be sorry!

I have to say I am blown away by the customer service at the Bend America’s Tires. The front tires on my car were to the point where I was scared to drive very far in the rain (yes, they were really that bad!). I am a full time student and money is very tight, but I knew I couldn’t wait any longer. I went into America’s Tires and was completely honest with them on the amount I could afford, hoping It was enough to get the two front replaced. Brian listened patiently then walked out and looked at my tires. He agreed they were really really bad. My rear tires weren’t great, but not dangerous. He asked my budget again and said he might be able to do something better, and he did. He found four matched tires that looked practically new that fit my 4 wheel drive and gave them to me for what I could afford. I know they must have lost money on this deal, but he did it anyway. The employees at the Bend America’s Tires exemplify all the best things about living in Oregon. I have bought many tires from this company in the past when money was not an issue and always been happy. This time cemented me as a loyal customer for life. Thank you so much for being a great company and the wonderful people who work there.

First time going here and now a forever customer. Went to Les Schwab to have my studded tires removed and new tires put on. It was 5:00 and they close at 6:00 asked them when it would be finished they said not until the next day. Went over to America’s Tire they did it for less and even though they close at 6:00 they had my car finished that night. Will definitely be coming back!

These guys are impressive. I can only assume now that Bryan is the owner, if not don’t let him go, he is making the business. The whole staff seemed focused in sync and content. This particular day was pretty busy due to what I hear was the storm of the century, however Bryan, (eh… the other guy) and the installers rocked it without sacrificing quality service. Go here first, I wish I had.

We’ve been going to America’s Tire in Bend for years and have always been happy with their service but our last experience with them is what compelled me to write this review. We had purchased tires from them a couple of years ago which we were disappointed in because they wore down way too quickly. Since winter is right around the corner, we figured it was time to suck it up and buy new tires. When we went into America’s Tire and showed them the wear on our current tires they totally took care of it without hesitation. The old tires were under warranty so we got new tires (that shouldn’t do the same thing as the last set) at a huge discount with no hassle. I’m very impressed with their customer service… and their prices in general are better than the other guys too. We are happy customers.

Well our other car needed tires and again America’s Tire had the best price. They had a sale over Labor Day weekend and I got a set. The tires weren’t in stock so they put them on yesterday. In and out in about 35 minutes. I had them check my spare. They found that it was only at 15lbs and that the valve wouldn’t hold any more pressure. Replaced the valve for free. Great job America’s Tire. The other big guys in town better watch out. America’s Tire does a great job.
Now for a tire tip — You don’t need siping. Siping consists of cutting little slices in the tread of the tires. Tire stores claim that this gives better traction and handling. A simple question to ask is this: If siping were important don’t you think the tire manufacturers would sipe their own tires? The only people who profit from this are the tire stores that charge $ 12/​tire to do it. You might get a tiny, tiny bit better traction but the tires will wear out faster. This is always a bad deal — don’t let them sucker you into it.

Twice now, I’ve gotten quotes on the phone for a certain tire, then when I got to the shop, they didn’t have the tire and tried to sell me an upgrade.
The time it took to get my car in, tires mounted, and me out the door isn’t worth as much as I saved by shopping here.

I just had to give a shout out to the team at America’s Tires, located by Lowe’s and Home Depot. This is the 3^rd set of tires we’ve purchased with this company and I’m always impressed. They are helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and the best part is that they are not on commission, so no hard selling. They had a great sale going on for the all terrain tires for my Sequoia with an additional in-​house rebate. They are quick to say they will meet or beat competitiors prices and we’ve found that to be true.
They were quick and we were done and out within the hour. John is the manager and he’s great to work with.
