Disappointed in customer service. My husband, son and I were in the store for at least 10 minutes and were never acknowledged. Really, how hard is it to say hello when a customer walks in the door? Thinking of relocating to Bend and opening a yarn shop. They could use a little competition. I already own a yarn store so it’s not like I don’t know the business. We were in there 6÷4÷16 don’t know if it was the owner or an employee working that day but it cost you a sale and got you a bad review.

Very poor customer service. My wife and I went into this very nice yarn shop and about 5 – 6 ladies were sitting down on the couches knitting and not once did any of them acknowledge us. My wife was planning on buying some yarn for her new projects, but we decided that we would spend our money elsewhere. My wife was very excited and loved the yarn selection and would have bought some yarn. We also didn’t even know who was in charge.

Beautiful bright and airy shop with a lovely selection of yarn. We stopped by while on vacation, and I wish we lived closer so I could shop here more often. The couches are comfy and the owner friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. Everything you could want in your local yarn store, with the bonus of an adorable shop dog. Definitely worth a visit!

Gorgeous store! The yarn selection, especially sock, is amazing! It was a hard decision but I brought home Misti’s Alpaca and Manos; there were wide selections of colors for both brands, all so beautiful! The store layout is well thought out, artistic, and very welcoming. The staff was so friendly. I loved the public computer access to Ravelry! Very helpful when trying to remember yardage, etc. Must visit!

Wonderful selection of fine yarns! Cute greyhounds hang out there, too. And they happily wind your yarn into a center pull ball! I got some Misti alpaca sock yarn and another wool/silk blend. Can hardly wait to knit it up!

Don’t bother taking outside yarn in to have it wound. They won’t let you do it, even if you have purchased yarn from Gossamer before. I didn’t talk to the owner, so I’m not sure whose rule this is, but it just seemed unnecessarily stingy and mean. The store was dead. The winder was sitting right there, not being used, not costing anything to use. Shouldn’t a knitting store want to support its community of knitters, just as much as it wants to sell yarn? I’m buying my own winder and ordering yarn online from now on. So much for supporting my local store.

Cute store with a sweet staff adjacent to the Old Mill shopping center. Wish I knew how to knit. I love touching the super soft Lacey Lamb yarn!
