Taking your car into the mechanic is stressful at best. How bad is it going to be this tine? Now imagine that you are on the road traveling and your car starts spewing oil. Luckily, I found Rob at Joe’s. He was able to get my car into the shop and repaired in under 24 hours. And he was honest and very very very reasonably priced which allowed me to spend more money on food and beer. Can’t say enough nice things about this mechanic and his shop. He even went so far as to wash the under carriage of my car so that the leaking oil smell wouldn’t linger! Wish I could find this level of service in my home town!

A gas station is a gas station you might say. That said, they’ve got great people working here. Always friendly, always helpful and always wash the windows.
Was in a few weeks ago and the man working pointed out my tire was low on air, filled it and then told me that Schwab would fix/​replace my tire for free.

You always wonder if you can trust your mechanic. You can definitely trust Joe’s Westside Shell. We have been a customer here for two years. Not once have they ever done any work that was not necessary. This last time we took our car in, the engine light came on. They originally thought we needed a new sensor. They had even already ordered the part. Upon a more careful inspection later that day, they turned the engine light off, and drove the car, which they said was running great, and the light never came back on. They called us and said the car was fine, and no repairs needed to be done. Now, we never would have known the difference. They could have gone ahead and changed the sensor unnecessarily, but they chose to be honest. It gives us great peace on mind to know that we have a mechanic who is honest, who we can trust.

On a tip from the guys at the Real Food stand across the street, I took my truck here on my way out of town in a hurry. Joe was a fantastic help at giving my car a much needed once over, fixing little details, and identifying the big problem, all while talking with me about what he was doing. Once we figured it out, he got the truck up on the stands right away so I could get back to California in time for work. Best mechanic EVER. Thank god for Joe’s.
