On a visit to Bend last week, after having moved away two and one half years ago, I made an appointment at Kenyon Audiology for a hearing test and hearing aid servicing. Dr. Janet Kenyon treated me like I had never moved and did an excellent job of testing my hearing and making adjustments to my hearing aids. She also gave me good tips for care and wearing my hearing aids. The technician did a thorough job of cleaning and adjusting my hearing aids during my appointment. No mailing or return visits to pick up my hearing aids. Quick and professional service! My visit to Kenyon was professional and friendly. Glad I was able to visit Bend and Kenyon.

I can’t warn you enough. I have had numerous problems with getting my messages returned from this office. I was told that a letter that was inaccurate about my medical condition would be corrected. It was not. When I complained, I was initially not permitted to speak directly to the audiologist. Ultimately, the audiologist went back on her word and failed to correct her own mistake. There are better audiologists in Central Oregon. There are many companies such as Rexton and Phonak that make far better products for the same cost. Your hearing and your medical information is important so don’t trust it to people who just want your money. You might also want to know that Kenyon was recently investigated by the FDA for failing to register the devices that she manufactures. She is currently registered, but she operated for 16 years without registering with the FDA. You can get a copy of the report for yourself by contacting the FDA’s Freedom of Information help line at 425−483−4948(mention FOI Control Number F2010−2811). This does not mean that the FDA has approved her products, only that they will now be on the schedule to be inspected. Please feel free to contact me for more information. ***There are some people out there who don’t want you to read this review. They have flagged it in hopes of getting it removed. To them I say, LONGLIVETHEFIRSTAMENDMENT!!! Election year update: I have been thinking about this dreadful experience as another presidential election approaches. Perhaps this explanation might clarify why I was treated so poorly. I made the mistake of walking into Kenyon Audiology to drop off some medical records while wearing my vote Obama campaign button. The receptionist said, «You’re really brave to walk in HERE with THAT.» She said it with that sarcastic tone that means you’re not really brave just stupid. They sure got me back for voting Obama! I would love to have seen them the day after Obama won a second term just to rub it in their faces.
