While the staff may be incredibly nice and helpful in person and/​or once you get them on the phone, their service is horrible.
Their online banking is a joke. You cannot access online bank statements, their app is laughable, and I honestly don’t know how they are in business. When you call a branch, it auto-​directs you to their automated system which then transfers you to their main branch in Springfield, so to contact your local banker it is almost impossible.
I’m a huge believer in local banks, which is why I wanted a credit union here in addidtion to the one I’ve had in Eugene for 20+ years– but I will be closing all my accounts. I would stay away from this place.

Do not do anything with this credit union. I’ve been trying to get an authorization letter to ship to my car to Hawaii and keep getting the wrap around. They tell me one thing so I do it and then they never call me back after saying they will so I call and they tell me something completely different. Of course I want the car I am paying for so I continue to do what they ask and no one ever knows what’s going on. I left a message with the manager and no respond. Call the main branch and another wrap around. Get frustrated and they do not care, just say that it isn’t their fault and do not know what’s going on. The customer service sucks and they will not care about anything.

I had the worst experience with one of your underwriters, Dallas. Was basically accused of being shady in trying to refinance a vehicle (at the request of my mortgage lender). He refused to lower the interest rate, extend payments to 60 months and would not refinance the vehicle unless I was completely off the title. (We owe less than the value of the vehicle.) Was told the payment would stay the same. Actually increased. Plus, required 2 letters of reference, all the while this loan had been paid ACH. Went into the Bend branch. Jennifer was great. Her manager, however, knowing how upset we were, never once came to talk to us in person. The «manager» just advised her via phone. Nice management skills. We are now waiting for the new title without my name at the $ 77 that is now FINANCED, just to get get our business out of your awful institution.
Buyers beware of refinancing with NWCC. You WILL be accused of shady intentions, have statements made about your situation like «no rhyme or reason as to the refinance,» (even though my lender INSTRUCTED ME to do a refi) and then never once have a manager TRY to console a very upset customer with a bank FULL of customers!

Absolutely great to deal with. Kelly was amazing and went above and beyond our expectations for selling our financed vehicle through them and financing our next auto just days later. I will definitely be referring people to NWCU and especially to Kelly. Thank you!

I went in here to inquire about an auto loan. Cut and dry, they are very unprofessional. They treat you like you are wasting their time and they let you know it. Body language is as loud as words, wake-​up call people.
Kelly, who I spoke to, slumped in her chair and sighed everytime I asked a question. Her lack of attention was pretty evident. I had to do her job for her in regards to answering my own questions. She did not know simple answers about the loan services they offer, which is clearly a problem when you are working with people’s money. She was rude and had no intention of helping me. Maybe she’s not a morning person, who knows.
Don’t go here, unless you’re looking for a bad experience and rude staff.

I just opened a new account with them and personally, My experience was excellent! The staff were welcoming and Kelly was awesome and did a wonderful job with helping me open a new account. I would recommend this bank to anyone. I’ve banked with bigger cooperate banks like chase, wells Fargo etc, and my experience here felt more personable and they were definitely more eager and willing to assist me with my financial needs. Thank you Northwest Community Credit Union!!!

Awful!
I just moved to Bend and have been needing to utilize shared branching until we open a new account. We have a credit union in the valley.
I walked in with a huge jar of change for my daughter to exchange and held it up while I asked «can we do this here»? and the teller’s response was «What IS it?!» fair enough. I explained that we wanted to cash it in and she offered a flat «No.» They wouldn’t access my account because it was written on a different credit union’s paper. I asked about exchanging Canadian currency and was told that there is a two week turnaround. Honestly, this was the worst experience I’ve had as a guest in any establishment since moving here. HUGELY ungrateful. I would never recommend them and plan to take my business elsewhere.
Selco ended up exchanging my coin, made transactions in my account, explained the process of a new account, SMILED, had a children’s area and treated me like a valued human being. So there’s that, I guess.

Absolutely heinous customer service. I traveled out of state and my 2 cards both kept getting denied. No phone call, no warning whatsoever. I first noticed it on a Friday evening. There was no way to get a hold of anyone to rectify the situation till Monday morning. In addition when I went to the bank with all of the proper documents to open my account it took the teller two hours to complete 30 minutes or less of work. I should have walked out of the bank immediately it was obvious that the banker was on drugs. I have never received such lousy customer service from a bank. I honestly am scared keeping my money there. I am a firm believer in small local banks just not this one.
