Pretty Nails

I was appalled at my experience at Pretty Nails. My friend’s 14 year old wanted to get pedicures, so we stopped in. The women here acted so immature, catty, and rude. As the 14 year old was getting her nails done, her technician loudly said, «Why your nails so short?!» The teenager just quietly shrugged her shoulders. Again, the woman badgered her with the same question, this time, saying it louder, while laughing and looking around at other customers. The girl I was with has a bad habit of picking her nails really short. I was shocked at how unprofessional this woman was acting by chiding her. I stepped in, hoping she would leave her alone, but no. I just stated, «It’s a habit.» She looks at the teen, then looks at me, then looks at my technician and starts laughing loudly while speaking Vietnamese. If that wasn’t enough, she questions my young friend about her eyebrows and who does tho them. My friend answered that she doesn’t have her eyebrows done (BTW, they look fine.) Lastly, this bully of a woman asked the girl about her highlights and who does them. I feel awful that my young friend was traumatized by these rude women. I explained to her that unfortunately a lot of nail salons can be like this. I assured her that we would go to a safe and different one next time, and next time we would have a better experience.

Awful. I am so very unsatisfied I wish I could give zero stars. The staff is so rude. The guy who did my pedi was so rough with my nails and cuticles that he kept making me bleed and poking me super hard. Then he’d file down my feet really hard and rinse the file off in the tub my other foot was soaking in. DISGUSTING! then when he massaged my legs I had a huge obvious scrape and bruise on the top of my shin and he just roughly rubbed over it. Ouch!!! Finally, the pedi looked AWFUL. All of my nails were filed uneven sizes and shapes so they looked side ways. I walked out in tears only to go home and spend a half hr fixing it. Worst pedi experience EVER!

I’ve been to 3 different places in Bend trying to find a good pedi — 3^rd time must’ve been a charm! Very clean, sanitized tools, new files. You’d expect that of all nail salons, but it isn’t always the case. They fit 7 of us in for pedi’s with an appointment.

This is my go-​to place for a spontaneous pedicure. The staff is always friendly and my pedicure is always nicely done. Love this place!
