Pro Caliber Bend

Traveling through Oregon on a road trip and needed a new rear tire. It was great that they had the tire in stock and could put it on right away! Was super happy until I got on the bike and road it out.
Despite there already being marks where the tire should be set, it was up too far causing the chain to be so loose it was touching the chain guard and it kept slipping.
Insult to injury the tire was under inflated by 12 psi despite the obvious fact that I was fully loaded on a road trip. It was so bad I fixed it myself instead of risking any more damage done to my bike by them.
Never again.

Thought I saw something amiss on my BMW 1200RT and called the service dept. Even though they don’t typically work on BMW’s they said bring it in and they’d check it out.
I showed up and without a firm appt. having been scheduled the fantastic service manager and tech’s had me on my bike and back on my way in 30 minutes !!
These guys are the BEST… it’s where you want to go when you’re in Bend!

Wish I could give this place zero stars. Horrible, rude, and arrogant customer service. We wanted to keep our purchase local but we will be going outside of bend after dealing with Pat.

These guys were great! Helped us out with new tires at a great price when we were traveling to Portland and just passing through Bend. .. in and out in a couple of hours, highly recommend!

These people are the worst in Bend. Every time I have been in the shop, everyone has a terrible attitude and has never greeted me in a friendly manner. Just the other day I bought a master link there and they gave me the wrong part. After driving all the way back to the shop a second time, they managed to screw up and give me the wrong part a second time. I then called the shop to try and get them to order me the right part, but they wanted me to drive to the shop yet again (for a 3 $ part) and spend even more of my time and money on trying to get the right part. I will gladly be using the Motoshop from now on and will never be returning to Pro Caliber again. At least at the Motoshop they treat you like an important human being and not like an expendable rat and try their best to please who is important, THE CUSTOMER.

Went in on a blustery day to look at dirt bikes and had a great experience. I was acknowledged by Frank Wiltse when I came in the door. He was super nice, laid back and made me feel comfortable. He asked me what brought me in and I told him it’s been 20 years since I’ve ridden so I was looking to see what’s new. I fell in love with the Honda CRF450. He let me know they were having a winter sale and the bikes were tagged accordingly. I let him know I was going to take a look around the store and he was respectful of that. I’m the kind of person that does a ton of research before I buy and I need time to process. When I went over to clothing and accessories I was helped and again there was no pressure. Everyone here even Daniel the tech was super helpful when he setup my suspension for my weight. Great experience overall.

The Parts Department and Service Department are pretty good… but the Sales Department sucks. I live in Bend and have done business with this dealership many times. In general, the parts and service folks are friendly and competent. Because it’s a small shop, they often have to order my parts — even if fairly common, like Honda air filters, brake fluid or coolant. Okay, it’s Bend and they probably run with a minimal parts stock and have an unsophisticated inventory system.
However, my experiences with the sales people have been consistently unpleasant. Most of these guys are defensive and argumentative about their motorcycle prices and often don’t know that much about the products they sell. Of the two bike purchases I attempted, one was ridiculously overpriced (so I bought elsewhere) and with my second unsuccessful purchase they were down right fraudulent and misrepresented the deal.
In my younger years, I was a Honda mechanic, parts manager and service manager for a large operation, so I know a bit about how a dealership should work. Sadly, the Pro Caliber sales staff think they’re dealing with a bunch of yokels for customers. They act as if we will actually put up with their price-​gouging and sleazy sales practices. Go to Pro Caliber for parts and service… but buy your bikes any place else.

I had done extensive research on availability and price on a Can Am Outlander Max, looking at a purchase of about $ 12,000. I was treated worse than any buying experience I have had in my 50+ years of doing business.
I consult in the automotive industry and the behavior and actions of the sales staff would be unacceptable in my review of any of my clients. Imagine wanting to present a fair value offer and be told by sales to not do it. They present a counter offer based on agreement of monthly payments that was crazy and totally unrelated to fair value.
A tactic that might work for some but when I had all my research going in and wanted to do business with a local dealer it was totally unacceptable. So what offer do I get countered with. MSRP. This is despite advertised prices on their website less than MSRP for the same ATV.
I try to explain that now that I have spent 1.5 hours there I cannot stay longer due to my fiancé called and was ready to be picked up. Then they started the bait and switch and then to the manager who said the counter was an error on his part even though I had it in his own hand writing.
Then magically they would sell me something for the money I was willing to spend.
Not what I wanted or desired but magically as I am in my truck they seemed to say they could find what I wanted for money I was willing to spend.
Then the great part. No call back as follow up, no desire to sell me a product that was sitting in a crate on their lot, no counter to earn my business.
Casey at the SK Northwest in Portland earned my business quickly, with professional business skills and fair values without any games or hassle.
2.5 hours drive to have excellent service is worth it to anyone in the high desert looking to purchase.
Stay away from Pro Caliber. Unprofessional, unethical, and not worth any consideration at all to spend your hard earned money at their Facility.

I was traveling through Bend on my ’92 BMW and realized my rear tire was unsafe. I called Pro Caliber. They were very helpful on the phone and let me know what tires in this odd size they had, and offered to order another type, if I wanted, for delivery tomorrow.
I chose a tire they had in stock and rode, (carefully) to the shop. Rex, the service manager, took care of me right away, no waiting. I was in and out in 1 hr. And the price of the tire was below internet superstore prices.
I highly recommend this shop for their service.

I would NOT recommend doing business here. The salesmen are lazy and won’t help you, they will NOT try to give you some sort of deal in order to get your business. When we told them another dealership was going to give us a store credit of $xxx, they said they would match it. And then during the paperwork process, there magically appeared a misc charge of the exact same amount. We should have walked away.

It’s interesting to see only one review for this store, what happened to all reviews, what happened to my review from June 2012? Anyway, I was in this store back in June, passing through on my bike to Seattle. Stopped at Pro Caliber to have tires replaced, and brakes checked.
Long story short, Pro Caliber mechanic replaced my tires and in process of checking the brakes he installed brake pads backwards on my rear wheel, I discovered this after I arrived to Seattle, and went to Seattle bike shop. However, Immediately after the service in Pro Caliber, Bend OR, I noticed terrible squeaking noise coming from the brakes and asked mechanic for explanation, he told me that my brake pads are almost gone so that’s why the awful noise. I said that doesn’t make sense because when I arrived to the store there was no such noise coming from the brakes, asked him to check again, but he refused, it was his time to go home.
Bike mechanic in Seattle asked me to come inside the service area and show me that brake pads are installed backwards and because of this I must replace the rotor as well. I took pictures of everything and mechanics notes from the Seattle shop. I called Bend, OR Pro Caliber store to report what happened and to ask for assistance, this store denied any wrongdoing and claimed that I’m trying to get something for nothing.
I called Pro Caliber store in Longview, WA. I talked to store manager Travis; I also emailed him pictures and notes from the Seattle bike shop. Right away Travis realized what happened and promised to take care of everything. He asked me to come to the store in Longview, WA. When I arrived to the store I was greeting by Travis and Ben, and everyone else in the store. They took my bike to the service shop and replaced everything free of charge. In addition, Longview store is just awesome, huge selection of new and used bikes, accessories, and parts. I was very impressed with the service department; the shop looked super clean and sophisticated, mechanics looked so professional. It was pleasure to be there. Travis and Ben are just amazing, and all people working there. I live in Seattle, but for my next bike, or bike service I’m definitely coming back to Pro Caliber in Longview.
Pro Caliber in Bend OR called me and apologized for everything, they also took care of everything in cooperation with the Longview store. This store has friendly staff too, but mostly on the sales floor.

It is a larger store that has a lot in stock. Friendly people who know there stuff. They had cheap prices on tires and I got them mounted and balanced for only $ 20 each. Very reasonable.
