My father is currently hiking the Pacific Crest Trail and unfortunately, just before the 4th of July long weekend, the zipper to his tent decided not to work anymore (I believe its a Big Agnes but that is besides the point). He had just gotten a hotel room in Sisters to try to figure out what to do with his busted tent. A local trail angel sent him to Rugged Thread and thank goodness! Even on the holiday long weekend, Kimberly efficiently fixed the tent zipper for him! He was nothing short of ecstatic. She did an amazing job (and looking through the photos on her website, I’m so impressed I am going to start using her services from all the way down in SoCal). I don’t think my dad uses or understands Unilocal,but he wrote me a letter asking me to write this and «give her the best Unilocal review possible». 5 stars! Thanks so much Kim!

I called them to see if they could help me with adding some down to a sleeping bag that I have.
Although this wasn’t something they have the equipment to do, the girl that I talked to was VERY HELPFUL!
She gave me the contacts to get what I needed done and also offered me some great advice on fixing a zipper in a Patagonia parka.
I have not had the chance to actually use their services but I defiantly will. I feel that the wonderful interaction and super helpful advice I got is worth a rave review!

I’ve had a great waterproof golf jacket with a broken zipper for over a year. I took it in to our dry cleaner/​tailor in SF and they couldn’t fix it. When we moved to Bend, I started looking at new jackets. Since it was only a zipper and I didn’t feel right buying a whole new jacket, I made another attempt and googled zipper repair and Rugged Thread popped up. My zipper was repaired in less than 10 minutes and my jacket was as good as new. Saved me about $ 200 for having to buy a new jacket. I’d highly recommend.
