Even after their recent remodel, this place is loud! I have stayed here a few times, and each time I had trouble sleeping because of the noise. This time, I stayed in one of their newly remodeled rooms, and was hoping for an improvement. Nope. I could hear every door open and close in the hallway, and could hear every thump and loud voice from nearby rooms. I woke up several times throughout the last night I spent here, twice from a crying baby and once from someone dropping a shoe or something in the room next to me. I am surprised their remodel didn’t include some noise control engineering. If you want a good night’s sleep, stay at one of the many other hotels in Bend.

Go anywhere else. The manager is about as friendly as Hitler on a good day. Just keep going their are lots of nice places to stay in Bend. Don’t give this manager you hard earned $$$$.

Front desk clerk Will declined my credit card with plenty of funds available and then charged my debit card $ 850 to hold a two night stay. When I tried to call him to remove the hold, he let his phone ring 10 times and then placed it on the desk without answering. He did this twice and then when he finally answered he was very rude and unhelpful. Over 6 days later the hold still hasn’t been removed. However, in the meantime my card was charged for 2 nights at $ 170 in addition to the $ 850 hold he placed on my card. Now I have $ 1,149 worth of funds inaccessible to me after a two night stay in a below average and seriously overpriced hotel with a BBB rating of F. The deadbolt lock on my room didn’t work and after being out all day I came back to find that housekeeping left my door ajar and my room unsecured. When I reported it I was told maintenance was gone for the day so I had to sleep in an unsecured room. The rooms with 2 double beds were extremely small and had just one tiny nightstand between the 2 double beds. There was nowhere to put more than 1 suitcase so we had to improvise with an ironing board for the second suitcase. The aspect ratio of the TV was off in both rooms so the picture was slightly squashed. The 2 rooms I stayed in both had short hairs on the toilet rim. The shower handle was broken in one room and there was a large cobweb in the corner of the other room. The large plastic tag on the floor of the«clean» room made me doubt it had been vacuumed before my stay. The one bright point in my stay was front desk clerk Kerri who went out of her way to understand and be helpful. She even apologized for her associate’s mistakes and rudeness and didn’t make excuses. If everyone at Sleep Inn was as gracious and polite as Kerri my review would have been 4 stars instead of 1. It’s a shame she only works one shift a week. On checkout day I asked to speak to the GM, Sean Evert. His attitude was hostile and defensive from the start and he made many excuses instead of apologizing for his employee’s errors and the insecure room. He said he stood behind his employees even though they had made mistakes and he refused to compensate me in any way for the many hassles I’d been through at his hotel. He claimed he was«low man on the totem pole» and couldn’t do anything for me even though his is both manager and part owner of the hotel with his father. Sean is a GM who doesn’t seem to care about his guests or the inconveniences they experience at his hotel. I don’t expect perfection and can live with a lot of little things being wrong with my room. What I can’t live with is supporting a business owner who doesn’t care about his guests and becomes hostile when asked to make things right.

Not a bad place to stay from a long day of driving from Salt Lake City. The Sleep Inn was among the first places that I saw from the main road coming into Bend, so I took a chance on being a walk-in. The rate at the time was between $ 65 – 70 per night. The room itself was comfortable, and with the expected amenities of a microwave, fridge and television. The bed was soft, and the sheets were noticeably clean and without that musty smell you would expect from lesser quality motel. The rooms in between were quiet, which indicated that the walls weren’t paper thin. Breakfast in the morning was sufficient. I didn’t expect a bare bones continental breakfast, as well as a massive buffet either. It was just right. The parking area wasn’t so bad at all(a bit tight toward the rear). I was also able to use the Sleep Inn toward points. Friendly customer service at the front desk. I’ll certainly return.

OK, a bit weary at first but for this class of inn, not bad at all. The rooms are clean and the front desk people are there to please. Interiors are semi-modern and the AC is quiet. We opened our window without AC and enjoyed a gentle breeze. The area is quiet so no freeway or street noise. We didn’t have a microwave or regrigerator. .. forgot to ask for the upgrade on that. The bathroom vent fans sound like a DC-10 hovering over your head. Sorry I have to mention that since my sound meter hit 88 db. The breakfast is simple: waffle, toast and saussage were the warm items. The standard juice, cereal, yogurt, hard boiled egg are pretty much standard. Simple meal but it works in a pinch. COFFEEISWEAK, but there’s a Starbucks within 50 feet of the place. Barnes & Noble and some other nices shops are closeby. A nice place to return to.

If you’d like a dumpy place that smells like smoke with a most unfortunate manager who seems better suited as a prison guard, then this place is just for you. Spend the 10 extra dollars to stay at the Bend River House. It’s SO worth it.

Great location, clean rooms with microwave and mini fridge, great breakfast and free wifi. Can’t ask for much more. Beth at the front desk has been especially helpful and very welcoming!

My husband and I checked in last minute the day we drove in. The hotel had 2 nites avail. for Non-smoking, queen size(they gave us full size bed). Had a refridgerator, microwave, shower was roomy, everything was clean. We were really happy with our stay. They had continental breakfast from 6−10am, and Free WI-FI. Would totally come back to this hotel.
