Stopped in for Happy Hour, the food was amazing. A little something for everyone with arancini bites, wings, Korean pork buns, enchiladas, and roasted cauliflower. Everything was spot on and the drinks did not disappoint. Only wish I could have stayed late for the live music.

Came here with the wife for dinner and drinks. Great beer list, and my wife thoroughly enjoyed the margarita. Very cool vibe and should prove even cooler during the sweltering summer months. Tons of space and plenty of seating. My burger and her pork tacos were decent, and the fries were very good. Staff seemed like they were having fun and our service was great. We’ll be back!

Great venue for live music! Stoked to find an establishment with a monthly reggae night(my review would be five stars if it was weekly). Saw Black Slate last night and it was epic. Can’t say anything to the food they serve as I was only there to enjoy music and libations. I most likely won’t be trying their food as there were no vegan friendly options besides french fries and Wild Rose is right next door. Received prompt and consistent service from the woman taking drink orders, as well as when placing drinking orders directly from the bartender. Definitely will be back!

Pros: really good ambience. Good drinks. Good crowd. But a crappy Really rude DJ. I think he didn’t poop today. Biting the same f*** thing for the while time we were there. Nobody was really dancing. They wanted to but . Waste of 1 hr. I hope they find a good DJ. Place good otherwise. Bring your own party mood with you ’ chutiya’ DJ won’t help ya!

This is only one star because it can’t be zero. The most racist bouncers ever. Shockingly rude and douchey. You’re a bouncer in Bend Oregon… Calm down

Came in a few months ago, steak was good. Came in recently everything was horrible. Meat wasn’t trimmed like before. Overly salty. I typically go there for the private seating and drinks, tip very well and run high tabs. My sazerac wasn’t made with rye!?! I’m am so disappointed in my last visit, most likely not coming back.

The location and layout is phenomenal! And, the décor really lives up to the intended theme. From the downward staircase as you enter toward the tufted booth seating and dim lighting moving onto the Victorian accentuated wall near dance area The Capitol really creates a vibe like that of an underground bar in the NYC Theater district. Two stars, you may ask… aside from the superb establishment I’d have to knockdown the service, inconsistency bad product. Its house concoctions are great on paper given they don’t impress much once served up. I’d still add I’m objective thus I only tried two drinks and received service from one bartender and wasn’t blown away. She whipped up the same exact drink for my friend one after the other and they looked and tasted completely different. The wait was ridiculous-about half an hour even after we separated and moved up and down the bar in order to try to gain better access to ordering. In regards to final product, the ventilation is poor and for lack of better terms, The Capitol stinks… literally. Considering it’s like a dungeon there needs to be higher indoor air quality when there are many individuals dancing and/or standing in such space. …I like what you’ve done with the place, I urge you to promptly work out the kinks as it really has potential

DONOTORDERTHIS!!! I ordered their only burger… The one with two eggs, lettuce, tomato, avocado, bacon, and a pretzel bun. I asked for them to leave out the egg and was instead served a burnt pretzel bun with nothing but cheese on the patty. The patty itself was the size of a slider. The fries were equally as horrible, tasteless and from a frozen bag. I was charged full price… Will not be going back for their food but their bar is great!

Really, really, REALLY! wanted to like this place. I had heard fantastic first-hand reviews as well as read other reviews posted on social media and on Unilocal. Walking down into this place the ambiance is so awesome! I couldn’t believe what the owner had done with the space provided. Upscale, chic, and trendy. We were seated immediately in a great spot, no waiting at 7:00 p.m. on a Friday night. I heard they were having live music that night and was looking forward to having an enjoyable evening. It took the server a few minutes to get to our table, which was odd because it was not that busy. After ordering our second round of drinks and waiting over 30 mins. she finally took our food order. After watching people who arrived after us receive their food and waiting nearly 30 more minutes our food was finally served to us. Order was tacos and stuffed chicken. The taco shells were falling apart in my hands and soaked not to mention they were luke warm. The stuffed chicken was salty and less than luke warm. We were not happy. It took 5 or so minutes to flag the server to tell her how we felt. She said she would have the manager come over. It took another 5 – 10 minutes for the manager to arrive at our table. We told him our meals were cold and unappetising, the time waiting was ridiculous and we were not happy with the service. It had become fairly loud in the restaurant by that time(8:30 p.m.). The manager heard us –I think– he said something to us, cleared our plates and left. I turned to my husband and asked what the manager said; he didn’t hear him either. To be polite we waited a few minutes to see if they were going to bring our bar tab. They never did. We were feeling ignored so we got up and left. This kind of service and treatment– not to mention the food was in pretty bad shape and should not have left the kitchen that way– is inexcusable. Does not make me want to even give them another shot. …too bad, we had such high hopes.

What a completely cool place that fits all kinds of get togethers! There are black curved booths for an intimate feel. High tops in the bar area and the ability to sit large groups together in the dining room. There is an area for live music too! Old school video games like pac man and pinball machine for added fun in another small area. The kids stayed entertained while the adults visited. Now to the food! We shared several small plates to start. Crab cakes had a generous amount of crab. The bacon wrapped dates were awesome! And the Brussel sprouts were my absolute favorite! I had the pork tacos that had an Asian theme with pickled cucumber, sprouts and carrots. They were so yummy and had a good amount of tasty pork. The Thai chicken soup was really good too. In fact everything delivered to our large group was devoured by each person. No leftovers! We will definitely be back to try some of their specialty cocktails and more food!

Headed to The Capitol after hearing some good things about it. Glad we did! The atmosphere is really nice… Feels more like something you’d find in a big city. That’s good for Bend. We don’t have enough of that. The bar is big, the dining area is big, and there’s a large area for live music which will start on 12÷5÷15, according to our waiter. There are also arcade games and a photo booth. It’s very fun. The food was superb. Everything was local and homemade. The steak was excellent. My burger was awesome. I hate ketchup but theirs was made from scratch and soooo good. We had the deep fried avocado for an appetizer and I could’ve eaten 4 more. We will definitely be back!

New favorite bar! Wow I was just blown away by how big this place is! I was expecting good cocktails and some food, but they put out the best steak I have ever had. It was cooked perfectly, the potato purée was freaking awesome and I usually don’t really care for mashed potatoes but these were devine. It came with a roasted garlic crème brûlée that is to die for so good on the steak and potatoes. They have a ton of infused liquors I got the black cherry/coco nib whiskey neat and it was great to sip on, they also have my favorite cheap tall can beer, Rainier! I can’t wait to go back for a date they have really neat intimate booths perfect for wooing. They also have Arcade games and a photo booth!

Mr. owner, you’ve spent a large sum of money creating this lovely new space in Bend. Please don’t let the quality of food and or drinks ruin your reputation and possibly be the reason to not survive for the long-haul. Had to lower my rating to 3 stars. Went to the Capital again and depending on the bartender that prepares your drink, it can be a real disappointment… especially for the price they charge. Unfortunately I had the inexperienced bartender make my cocktail(with missing ingredients) and then watched the experienced bartender make the same drink for someone sitting next to me. You would have thought it was a completely different drink. Argh! No wonder I could barely gulp my down. I love the location. As you enter, you go down a flight of stairs and voila… it’s dim with a trendy vibe and very inviting and something you wouldn’t expect here in Bend. You can sit at the long bar or find a table in a little dark corner. Whatever floats your boat. This could be a great date night place for me and the hubby because starting mid December they will start hosting live music. I was told they will have an array of all types of music to satisfy your listening pleasure so I look forward to that.
