Went today as I was driving by because remembered that I needed keys made.
They’re all done up for spring and the store looked great. I haven’t shopped here in a long time as I don’t get to Benicia very often anymore.
Anyway, service was quick and the keys were perfect. If you need hardware and garden stuff, it’s worth shopping at this LOCALLY OWNED store.

I called today and Fatima answered. I told her I was interested in mounting an American flag on the wooden beam in front of my house. Fatima told me that they have everything in stock from the flag to the rods and the mounting piece that goes on the pole. I said «wonderful, I will be down this afternoon.» Fatima tells me it is towards the back of the store down aisle 35 when I come in. I cannot begin to tell you what great service this place has. I’ve always loved shopping at Pedrotti’s because of the excellent service. Now I’m proud to shop there because of Mr. Pedrotti’s kind and generous decision about the trailer park property. Makes me happy to live in Benicia. Such a good person!

Let me start by saying that I have not been in to Mr. Pedrotti’s Ace Hardware store. However, after reading the article in today’s SF Chronicle, I would be a lifelong customer if I were a Benicia resident. It was a noble thing you did with regard to your decision to stop the planned move of your store. Benicia is lucky to have a businessman like you in the community, and your tenants are lucky to have such a landlord.

I like to support local businesses but these prices are outrageous. I used to come here often because it is convenient and I don’t mind paying more to support small or locally owned businesses. Not sure why the prices are so much higher than independently owned Martinez and even Walnut Creek Ace. They’re cashing in on the fact that they’re are the only act in town.

I have been coming here for years and I love them! Very helpful and a great selection. Yes, a little more expensive than Home Depot but in the long run, I save money here because I don’t have to drive out of town. There has also NEVER been a business here in town that does more local fund raisers and collections for disaster relief. They are truly a giving member of our community. This store is A++++ and so are the people that work here! When I shop here, I feel like I am with family!

The most under stocked and overpriced «hardware» store I have ever had the displeasure of shopping in. The staff is GREAT (probably because they are having fun stealing your money). $ 35 for a $ 12 dollar watering can, $ 3 for a $ 0.99 bolt, $ 1 for a $ 0.35 nut etc etc etc and I couldn’t even use my five dollar off «reward» coupon because I was a day early even though i got sent the coupon a week ago. I won’t be going back, it is worth the 7 mile drive to a REAL hardware store. Ace should be ashamed about the old ladies it takes advantage of.

Unilocal talks about great local businesses. This is certainly one of those! They are very knowledgeable and helpful, and can instantly direct you to the item you’re looking for, and add help and advice if needed. I recently had to replace several inside door knob assemblies and they had exactly what I needed.

This place has helpful employees and is in a good location.
I come here a lot for work when working at the Valero refinery in Benicia. The people working have always been helpful when helping us find specific things that we need or, if they dont have it, ordering it. It’s also in a good shoping center if your looking to grab something fast to eat too. They have a grocery store, couple fast food spots, and are right next door to a starbucks.

Incredibly expensive! I don’t know why I continue to waste my time by walking into this place because I never buy anything, I wind up walking out pissed off, shaking my head! I can understand some acceptable markup for convenience by being in town but the prices are so close to almost double that of Home Depot or Lowe’s that it’s completely ridiculous! I save money by driving to Vallejo to spend ten dollars rather than twenty at Ace and that’s including fuel in my diesel pickup! Come on, get a clue! At least be competitive!

I spend a lot of time in ACE and I gotta say they make life a lot easier for me. I run a small business in Benicia and they save me so much time and help so much with questions about best way to solve problems I run into in home improvement. They usually have what I need or can have it pretty quick. Thanks Benicia ACE

I think this place is just the right size. It’s not enormous like Home Depot where you get lost looking for things and it’s not dinky tiny where you can’t find what you’re looking for. I come here often for my gardening supplies and I say often because my poor herbs keep dying on me since I keep forgetting to water them… oopsies… :) The workers here are friendly and helpful. The other day I was in and this worker just walked up and down the aisles greeting everyone and asking if they found what they were looking for. Prices are affordable also, which is a huge plus. :)

I love ACE Hardware.
Upon entering ACE in Benicia, at least one employee will greet you and ask if you need help. It’s not like I need to be greeted — it’s just really nice. Once you’re actually in the store, the Red Vest People are everywhere, offering to help you find everything from angle iron to ruffled petunias. My husband routinely asks me to pick up some bizarre hardware store item that I’ve never heard of and can barely pronouce. Every time the RVPs know exactly what I’m talking about and they actually escort me to the item. This kind of customer service is just so rare. Oh yes — they have a great paint department — no long lines — AND they carry Benjamin Moore.
