I love this store! I grew up in Bennington and I remember the original location on Northside Drive 30 years ago. The current owners have done a great job making it better than ever. My favorite part is the guitar section and I’ve bought 7 guitars there over the years:
Fender ‘50s Stratocaster
Fender Lead I
Epiphone Dot
Garrison 6 string acoustic
Garrison 12 string acoustic
Squier Strat
Fernandes Retrorockit Pro
Plus a pre-​WWII banjo made by Gibson!
Every single one of those instruments was a real deal. Duffy does all the setups and makes sure that the guitars are in perfect shape.
I no longer live in Vermont but whenever I visit, I always make a point to stop by Knapp’s and see what’s new. I’ve seen on their Facebook page that they now have old school pinball machines and I can’t wait to check them out next time I’m in town!
