Shear Jazz

I’ve only seen Kristin at Shear Jazz, but I highly recommend her! She always understands what I’m looking for — even when I’m sure I’m not explaining clearly. Plus, she’s totally affordable. Go see Kristin for your cut and color needs — she’ll take care of you! Plus she does awesome men’s cuts on my (very picky) boyfriend.

I’ve been a walk-​in here twice now. Have gotten cuts from two different stylists, both times were just what I asked for, and looked great! The wait was short or not at all, and I was in and out in 45 minutes. What more can a busy person ask for?

DH has had his hair cut there several times, always by Amber, who does a good job. My complaint with this place is the careless way they make appointments: twice or 3 times, DH has made an appointment over the phone, and upon arrival, he is greeted with «oh, Amber doesn’t come in for 3 more hours» or similar excuse. Huh??? You can’t look at the schedule and SEE when she is scheduled to work and give us a correct time? To be clear, it wasn’t Amber who was on the phone, but another girl.
So…DH takes time off from work, drives several miles to Shear Jazz and doesn’t get his hair cut!
Note to owner/​manager: teach your employees how to make and verify appointments. DH has since gone elsewhere for haircuts. (and I, after having a few ok cuts there, have gone elsewhere because of the constant noise and loud chatter.)

I had a great little pedicure here while on vacation. Considering Bennington is quite small and the locals sometimes scare me, I wouldn’t trust my feetsies to just anyone!
The staff here is reasonably friendly and the building is clean. I’m not much of a talker when it comes to having my feet beautified, I usually have my nose in a book, so the lack of communication worked out well for me.
I’m not sure if they take walk-​ins, it’s probably best to call and make an appointment. The tubs are all the way in the back, hidden from view, as Shear Jazz is mainly a hair salon. They also offer tanning.
I might try The Clip Shop instead next time, I’ve seen their tubs and I like them a little better, but this is a solid choice when in need.
