I am sorry to hear they may be closed now. I was at their road side restaurant last summer. Had an excellent sandwich, and conversation. I was definitely planning on dropping in this summer on several of my NH road trips in 2016

After living in the Texas, I know the real deal. This is the real deal. Fried chicken and burgers are killer. Reasonable prices and portions. Must stop.

Sorry, this is not a Texas ice house. Sandwiches do not replace dry-rub Texas ribs. After 5 years in Houston my wife and we’re very disappointed with the pulled pork dinner and my brisket sandwich. We came, we ate, and we will not return.

As you know I really like this place(shack?) Last weekend I was driving down 202 from Sunapee and in need of a burger. The options: McDonalds, and…(Although the burger at The Bantam in Peterborough is superlative. But that is a food item in a different galaxy than my present location) From previous visits, I had seen burgers on the menu at Taste. So I ordered a burger with cheese and my wife ordered a fried chicken cutlet sandwich with house made chicken gravy.(Think of that one for a moment, willya?) Anyway, the burger was a revelation. At least 1⁄3 pound of hand pattied beef grilled till crusty on the flat top. No fat got seared away on this burger. It was all in that great crust. Yeah, it was a mess to eat. Not putting it down once started. But how is that a bad thing? And I love my wife dearly but thought about murder as she ate her moist, crispy, gravy covered chicken sandwich. I know, this is not fine dining. But it is great road food prepared by real people, far removed from our present fixation with food fads and franchise test kitchens. Preserve road food culture. Give this place a try.
