traveling through Bennington from Chicago needed a quick lunch, we have a dog with us, and were grateful when we saw TJ’s welcoming outdoor benches… and we love fish… so we ordered, fish n chips and a fishermans platter… mushrooms, a shake and a root beer… fried oreos for dessert… what can be better… surprise…this place is better then delicious, way better…

Not impressed, greasy hamburg, so much it soaked the bun. Warm milk shakes, 6 onion rings. $ 32, not a great value. And not a great experience. I have had better at McDonald’s.

I lived in Bennington around 25 years ago when this was Pauls Fish Fry. My wife and I visited for the first time in over 10 years and found not much had changed. We went to the top of the monument(whoo hoo!) followed by TJ Fish Fry. Just as good as it always was. The fish is flaky and perfectly cooked and the onion rings are about the best. Dont be afraid by the lack of ambiance, this is a place everyone should visit.

Had the fish sandwich served on a hot dog roll. It was a decent size piece of fish well prepared. Had red sauce on it. It was the best part of the meal. The fries were just ok. Had a coffee shake with it. Was disappointed in it. It is their first week open and have had a good turn out. Hope they can get everything going in the right direction. Will try it again in a few weeks.
