So I’ve been going to Currans since my 20s and I have always enjoyed the wing night. We went this past Wednesday in Bensalem, what a big mistake! First off is the parking, big awkward lot, it sucks. The service is less then mediocre. We literally sat for 10 – 15 minutes before anyone stopped to see us. We don’t drink much, we go there for the wings. It seems like if you’re not throwing back drinks, the servers don’t see you or just don’t care. Another thing is the cheap fake Coca Cola they carry. Don’t charge me $ 3.00 for a crappy imitation Coke. I understand going on a wing night can be crazy but it’s just ridiculous. This location is also very awkwardly set up, the tables are everywhere and seems to be inconsistent. I love their Cajun wings! They’re the best! That’s the reason for the second star. Prices have gone up over the past few years, wing size has gotten smaller, just like everything else I guess. The servers are in such a rush and don’t think. It was so bad this week, we were charged the wrong amount, we essentially paid someone else’s bill. She reversed the transaction but it said it would take a few days to be complete. It’s an inconvenience but not a big deal. Whatever I can overlook that as things happen. What bugged me most about the other day is the new wing«policy». So my wife and I ordered 30 wings to split. We ate a little over half, we had 10 or so to take home. I ask the waitress for a box, she then said to me «you cannot take the wings home» dumbfounded I just stare at her. I’m not sure what to say. I ask her why? she says that’s the policy, you cannot take wings to go during wing night. This is by far the dumbest policy ever! You mean to tell me I can’t take the wings home that I’m paying for? You would rather trash them then have a paying customer take them. Absolutely ridiculous! I will not step foot in another Currans. I don’t care how much I’ve enjoyed the wings in the past. I don’t need them that bad, I will not give a greedy owner another dime of my money. I understand this may have been abused by other but it was a few wings. We didn’t go in there and order 100 wings for the 2 of us. Absolutely ridiculous policy and I will NEVER return. Goodbye from a long time customer!

Best wing stop in northeast. Service is poor and the seating is less than ideal. They definitely have pudgy wings with great flavor. Personal favorite is the cajun flavored wing mixed with hot sauce. Sandwiches are good as well.

So I’ve been to Currans before and the last two times it has been absolutely disgusting. One the service lady was standoffish and nonresponsive then we arrive at 11 and they tell us the kitchen is closed when the website clearly indicates that the wings will be served until 12. I no longer have faith in this place stick to the currans in Philly for a better experience

So I just got back from dinner and drinks at curran’s, and feel compelled to reduce my star rating. For one thing, two items we attempted to order weren’t available, a Reuben and stuffed mushrooms. Then, I had the weirdest interaction I think I’ve ever had in my life with a waitress. I asked her what beers they had on tap, and she mentioned a Victory. I asked what kind, and she said she didn’t know. What happened next was about ten seconds of the most awkward eye contact ever. I thought for sure that she would say something to the effect of «let me go find out,» but alas, that never happened. I broke, and said I would find out on my own. I then walked from the table across the bar to look at the tap, all the while the waitress stood at the table waiting for me to come back and inform her. WTF. By the way, it was Hop Devil. The bar food is fine, wings are decent, but service blows. And there you have it.

Ordered 50 wings(25 cajun, 25 garlic) absolutely THE worst wings i have ever had! So dry and crusty that it reminded us of the turkey from National Lampoons Christmas movie. Will NEVER order from here again! Rather just go to a plain pizza joint for chicken wings.

My review is based solely on takeout food for the wings just so everyone knows. My wife and kids were looking to do wings one night as we had a major craving. We stopped ordering from the fresh works as they were unpredictable anymore. We checked out Hooters as it’s our favorite but for $ 1 a wing and us having 6 in the family we thought we would pass. We decided try Currans as our neighbors have said they are the best. We ordered 100 wings since they were only $ 55 and hoped for the best. What we got was the best. The wings were un breaded but super thick and meaty. The Cajun and the medium were fantastic. We needed up having enough left over for all of us to each lunch the next day. They definitely have some of the best wings around, and for the price it makes it even more attractive. By the way the waitress went out of her way to help me when we figured out we ordered from the wrong location. She had an order rushed to accommodate us. Thank you for that!

I went there on a Tuesday night. It was dead. So dead the dj was announcing quizzo to a room full of n nobody. The wings are usually the bomb, but apparently after 10pm the cook leaves and they serve you wings that people didn’t eat from 2 hours ago. The fries were hot but the wings didn’t even have any steam coming out of them when you bit into them. that’s some bullshit. I sent them back. The waitress said she would get them to «dip them again», only to return my basket of wings in the same exact arrangement, now hot but obviously microwaved. shameful shit. Stick to the original currans. Horrible imitation in Bensalem

I’ve eaten here a few time and the good was always decent. That changed today. We ordered and our food was bad, under cooked fries for everyone. Burnt burgers for others. I would not recommend!

Honestly, everything about this place is pretty awful besides the wings. Their cajun wings are absolutely delicious. I haven’t had better ones anywhere locally. On Wednesdays they have .50 wings which makes it the day to go. The service is absolutely lacking though. I’ve gone in multiple times and sat for 10 minutes before anyone approached our table. The spicy cheese fries(not on the menu) are alright too. Then the rest of their menu is just bad bar food. It’s a good place to go with friends when you’re just looking for wings and beer.

So this is my local bar so understand that I may be partial. From the outside this place looks like a run down place, gravel parking lot, and very small driveway. Do not let that fool you. The wings and food are amazing, the beer selection is actually decent and i think there is roughly 20 different TVs setup around the bar to watch just about every game available. The staff is great and are pretty easy to talk to when the place isn’t crazy. If you want a seat go early, otherwise expect to wait as seating is first come first serve

This place blows. There drafts are always good beers… But they don’t know how to take care of there kegs. Shit beer. Flat. Always. There bartenders are rude. Ignorant. And for some reason on Fridays they won’t accept my GOVERNMENTISSUED identification. So if your lookin for a night out go to stadium in Andalusia. There bartenders are hotter and there service won’t leave you waiting for a drink for thirty five minutes

Much better experience then the State Rd location. The location is better, staff is friendly, service is faster. Went here for their Wednesday night wings with some friends. The wings came out in just a few minutes and were great. Our waitress was on top of our drinks and clearing our plates. Would def go back here again.

The only thing good about this place are the wings. I don’t even eat wings, and I still thought they were good. The bartenders are HORRIBLE!!! The meanest in Bensalem. I could give you many stories, but to keep it short I’ll mention only one. My wife and I went there after our wedding(It was down the street from the ceremony) as an after party idea with some family and friends. I was in my tux and my wife was in her dress still. We get to the bar(excited), and the bartender says«what can I get you?» I respond with«we just got married!!» I know it was obvious, but I was excited dammit. LOL The bartender responded«Well I hope you guys don’t expect free drinks» I didn’t even ask!!! P. S. They do have one live band that plays there(I think on Fridays) that’s really good. They play great covers and originals. They’re called Dirty Robots.

The original Curran’s is on State Road, in Tacony. This Curran’s, on Bristol Pike, opened up in 2007. Now, as someone who loves dive bars, this is not anywhere in that category. I’m just a frequent customer when it comes to this place because I live so close by. The place doesn’t have a huge bar. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a long bar. But they could have layed out the bar better, maybe a wrap-around bar, to accommodate more stools. Plus, the bar has 2 video game machines on it, which kind of eat up a little room. The beer prices are pretty decent here, better than you’d expect. Not a huge selection on tap, but most of the customers drink Coors Lights or Miller Lites, especially the regulars. I’ve never ordered a mixed drink here, so not sure about those prices. When it comes to the food, they’ve got some winners. The wings are very good — especially the garlic wings. You have to ask for them, they’re not on the menu. And another tip — I’m not a fan of their steak fries, so be sure to ask for curly fries, or shoe string fries. But, they have a solid selection to pick from, otherwise. And, the bartenders and wait staff are all cool to deal with. Overall, it’s a really good spot. Like I said, I’m a bigger fan of dive bars, which is why I gave this place 4 out of 5 stars.
