Stopped in for lunch today and Andy(owner) god bless him is still on the job. He has done some updates to his shop. The new signage stands out very well now so you won’t drive by & miss one of the best italian meals you’ll ever had. Andy offers much more than just pizza and has a full menu of various italian dishes that are made with care and you can taste it. If he was in a down town location he would be a 5 star restaurant(no joke). I just wished i lived closer so i could have the delicious food more often. I pray he continues for many years to come.

Great pizza, with a crispy crust and a cheese/sauce combo that is just right. I tend togo for the pineapple toping, which makes it just perfect. I’ve lived in NYC for a while and Old Roman beats many a Brooklyn pie.

I LOVE their pizza. It’s not your run of the mill pizza, but it’s great! A lot of cheese, crispy crust and great flavor. I have had their chicken cheese steaks and other food(it’s all good) but I love their pizza. And the owner is very cool(he calls me «Mr. Rich).

Excellent reubens, salads, fries, steaks. The pizza is unique. It’s all pan. Not a pan fan but the cheese and toppings are great and make this very enjoyable, almost perfect in fact. I very rarely ask for pepperoni(usually plain for me) but the pepperoni here is awesome and really ties the pizza together. Beware of ordering too many vegetables on the pizza… They put a lot on there and it can be overwhelming and will make things wet. Food is always hot as hell when it arrives, but I’m very close by. Orders are accurate too. Food has been cooked correctly every time. I also very much appreciate that they use the foil-backed paper to wrap sandwiches. It does a good job of holding in the heat/moisture. About the service, I think the owner is friendly. I’m not totally disagreeing with the first pic submitted here, he will try to hustle you along if you act as though it’s the first time you’ve ever ordered food in your life. If you order a cheesesteak, tell him what you want on it while you order it. Don’t make him drag it out of you at the end of the order. He probably just wants to get back to making food and tending the oven. Besides, what was the Soup guy know for? Damn good soup worth lining up for.

I’ve been eating here since I was a kid and the food has kept it’s high standards and great unique tastes! Every time I visit from San Diego, Ca I stop by as often as possible during my stay! You just can’t find this pizza style and taste anywhere else.

Should of went somewhere else. When I saw no one at Old Roman I should of ran for the hills. I took my chances and ordered and that was a big mistake. The pasta was overcooked and the meatballs tasted like they came from a frozen container. What a waste of my money! Disgusting can’t even describe the taste. Stay away!!!

Hot wings are so amazing here. Cheese fries also delicious, along with basically everything I have ever eaten here! Very friendly staff as well. Environment a little lacking, as a result, I would recommend ordering take out or delivery. This always and will forever be my neighborhood favorite.

Ordered a chicken steak, I had it with fried onions, mushrooms and sauce, was the best I’ve had in the Philly area. Enough for two but of course once I started I ate the whole thing

I love Old Roman Pizza. I think there the best. My kids grew up on this pizza. When they come home to visit the first thing they want is Old Roman’s.

You have been stuffing menus in my door for months. I finally call to order pizza and you tell me you don’t deliver to my area? NOPE.

I called up the other day for a delivery order to get some cheesesteaks. I asked for two cheesesteaks and he was about to hang up. I asked, «Don’t I get to add toppings or choose the cheese?» and he very rudely replied — «It’s a cheesesteak — you get meat and cheese — what else you want?» I said, «I don’t get to pick the cheese I want?» and he responded frustrated«OKAY. WHATKINDYOUWANT?». Then I tried to add toppings and he was clearly frustrated and kept saying«ISTHATALL, ISTHATALL!?» Just overall terrible customer service. Then I received my cheesesteaks and they looked more like Sloppy Joes than cheesesteaks. I am absolutely D-O-N-E with this place. It wasn’t Andy on the phone, it was the other guy that’s always there.

First of all, my grandfather is one of the pickiest and most honest people I know(he won’t eat mashed potatoes if they’re too lumpy) and he loves this place, so that really says something. I think it’s absolutely delicious and totally worth a shot.

Really, I thought I was in University City again chowing down on one of those pieces of garbage. The pizza looks just like those, where the crust is oddly flat and dense and there’s the impression that it was pre-made. I won’t go so far as to say it was as bad as many of the UC pizzas I’ve reviewed; the ingredients were markedly better than some of them. However, for the general area, it doesn’t make the grade. It’s one saving grace is the low cost.
