Ouch… my teeth hurt now! Used the Living Social or Groupon deal for the $ 39 cleaning plus x-rays today. No cavities… just needed a 6th month cleaning. The cleaning hurt during the process and now my teeth hurt afterwards. WAY too much pressure on the gums! The office is messy and the furniture/carpet is probably 20 – 30 years old. Aside from the décor(or lack thereof), Dr. Pienkowski seems like a really good dentist. Good check-up and dental knowledge. The problem is that her equipment is also 30 years old. I declined the x-ray because it is a wood paneled piece of equipment with a dial. The dental room was clean and the equipment was clean too. It was just so outdated. Normally at a cleaning I have my teeth«sand blasted» or polished with toothpaste and then flossed. This was really old school. She cleaned each tooth with a high power water blaster/pick thing. It was a good thorough cleaning, just kind of uncomfortable and now my teeth and gums hurt. When was the last time you had your teeth cleaned by the actual dentist? That was cool at least. No toothbrush/toothpaste care package to take home at the end either.

The worst experience I’ve ever had! Where do I start from? I bought a Groupon for this place and after calling a dozen times to schedule an appointment, some lady finally answers the phone. I go, «Hi, I’d like to make an appointment for a cleaning and x-rays on a Saturday whenever you have an availability.» She goes, «Oh, you’re a Groupon customer? I don’t have any availability.» There was an awkward pause and then I continued saying I worked in the city and didn’t have any free time before 7:00 p.m. and they closed earlier than that. She said, «Hold on please!» and put me on an endless hold. About 15 minutes later she’s back on the line again and rudley says, «Okay I have only one open spot on February 2nd at 2:00. Want it or not?» Her tone sounded like she was doing me SUCH a huge favor. I accepted. She said, «Bring your Groupon with you.» I agreed. Today was my appointment. I was there at 2:00 sharp. I looked around the dental office and it was extremely old, dingy, dirty and sad. The place was very tiny. Not enough room to even sit and wait. Nobody was at the reception. There was a televsion put in a new channel in the waiting area. I had to ring for assistance. Two minutes later a lady(I suspect the same one who answered the phone) came from inside. She said, «Oh you’re that Groupon customer? Where’s the Groupon?» I pulled up the voucher in my phone and she snaps, «Didn’t I tell you to bring the Groupon with you?» I go, «Here’s the Groupon!» She said she wanted a printed copy. I argued saying she didn’t specify it. She rudely and boldly says she cannot help me and I need to have a copy. Otherwise they can’t perform the cleaning. Really?! Like, serioulsy?! Luckily my girlfriend was with me, who offered to drive to the nearby libarary to get a copy. She was back in 5 minutes. In the meantime I had the new patient form filled out. I waited, and waited, and waited. One hour later, the same lady says, «Okay, you’re up!» I didn’t see anybody come out, or waiting outside. It was just me and my girlfriend, and later realized the only other third person was that lady who was going to clean my teeth! Yikes! I walk inside and the place is even more dirtier. The tools are old, not clean. The toilet door was left ajar! She told me to take a seat and put the bib around me, and disappeared again! Twenty minutes later I just got up, took the bib off my neck and stormed out. I told her, «I’m going to ask for a refund from Groupon. I’m sorry, this has been by far the worst experience!»
