G & F Pizza Palace

Maybe some of the other reviewers caught them on an off night, but my pepperoni pizza was delicious! I’m from Philly, so I know good pizza when I taste it. The crust was thin and crispy, passed the NY City «fold test» easily. The sauce was spicy — not hot, just a tiny tingle burn on the lips after. The pepperoni was the real deal, and so was the cheese. Why not 5 stars? I almost never award 5 stars, But if you’re in Benson and need to satisfy the munchies, this pizza will get ‘er done. Get a beer while you’re at it!

Being from Chicago, I feel we’ve eaten about the best pizza out there. My husband and I have visited friends here twice and have found their deacon pizza is very good!

Absolutely the best pizza I have ever had! Wonderfully light crust! I had the Sister’s Cheese Trio, and it was divine. I will definitely eat more pizza here.

The food is absolutely amazing! Love their pizza and the wings are great. The only downfall is that the staff are usually very rude and easily irritated. Every time I’ve eaten there or ordered from there, the food is wonderful, but the customer services is the worst.

So this review is mixed. I don’t live in Benson but I came to visit family and the pizza place we always order from was closed. We thought we’d give this place a try. The super size pizza is pretty large, I wasn’t expecting it to be so big. The pizza wasn’t to my liking. It had too much red sauce and seemed chewy. My sister in law really liked it though. The wings were very mushy but my nana loved them. Now on to the mozzarella sticks. Extremely good when hot but as they start to cool down they just get super hard. Not a fan. Oh I didn’t mention the ranch… it’s actually very good. I give this place 3 stars because half of us liked it and the others didnt. I probably won’t go back but my family will

This is going to be a different kind of review: top honors for top service, and I’ve never eaten their pizza! The high rating is for their customer service and what I hear of the consistent quality of their food that I hear 2^nd hand. You see, I have a sister that lives in Benson and I live in California. She raves about the food but bemoans that she rarely treats herself with the luxury of pizza delivery. I’ve taken that as an easy fix for a special occasion or a pick-​me-​up, in this case her birthday so I called to make a 3^rd party order. Because this is a small town and an awesome pizza place, they recognize her name and address and are happy to oblige. So I order a pizza, tell them to put whatever they know she likes on it, pay with a credit card over the phone, add the tip to the total and b’ding! I can send a surprise delivery right to her doorstep! And they put a special message and artwork under the lid! Thank you Kevin the delivery guy and thank you to the staff. You ROCK! (Maggie says thank you, too, it was delicious as always!)

Great place to eat when you’re passing through Benson. Casual atmosphere and great pizza. Show up hungry. (started this post about a year ago, for some reason, it did not update — so it has today’s date on it)

We had this for take out and were very pleased with our pepperoni and olive pizza with an adult salad that we split. The salad was fresh and the ranch was good. The pizza tasted very good but I wouldn’t say the best I have ever had. However, when I am in Benson and want some pizza from a local family owned joint this is where I am stopping. Next time though I am going to stop in and play the games in the little arcade they have.

G and f has been in benson forever! They have great pizza and a family atmosphere! They are also very involved with the school! Def must try if your in the area

Great family run pizza place. Been there a bunch and have yet to have a bad experience. The Meghan Fries are an awesome way to start the dinner, and my personal pick is the Ziering pizza. It’s our «go to» pizza. Not a particularly large menu, but what they do have, is more than enough in flavor and value.

Not a very clean place. Cluttered with a huge amounts of pictures, Posters, etc. Has a dirty look to it. Food was ok but not great. Had pizza and fish the times we were there.

We ordered a extra large Hawaiian pizza. Ran us about $ 30, thought we would have pizza for a few days.
We stopped in to do a to go order. We were told the wait would be about 40 minutes, decided to have it delivered.
Upon receipt, I think this is the largest pizza we have ever seen.
Unfortunately, the crust was very much like a frozen pizza crust. No flavor, kind of like cardboard.
The sauce tasted just like a thickened tomato sauce, no flavor to it at all.
Ham, pineapple and cheese were average amount.
Very disappointed, if we had stayed at the restaurant, we would have sent it back.
So, if you like bland, non seasoned sauce. This is the place for you.

The service was so bad that we left after drinking only half our drink. We cancelled our order! The waitress didn’t know anything about the various sizes of the pizzas. The main reason I’m giving a poor review is because there was no interest in serving us. Nobody seemed to know what was going on.

Food was great, service was terrible the waitress was very rude, walked away before I finished ordering my food and had a bad attitude the whole time we were here.

Not fancy but in 11 years living near Benson we’ve never had a bad pizza from G & F.

Good pizza, although it took quite a while to prepare. Lots of cheese and a decent crust. Very limited beer selection (only lagers). Friendly atmosphere.

The G&F special is the best or the Dallas ! The best Pizza Ive ever ate!
