Spring 2016 has been glorious for me. Rambling through elevation and plant zones across the West I’ve smelled the sweetness of coastal and inland chaparral, oak woodlands, Mojave, Sonoran, Chihuahuan Deserts and points between. I caught cool evening air and spring’s final sweetness as the lights came on this evening.
An excellent place for a stop. Clean restrooms. Diesel and gasoline, showers, a store full of snacks and important items for the road. A good place to pause before a long dash across the desert.

This Love’s has wireless internet, overnight parking, and showers! I love coming to these stores, because it’s almost like a mini Walmart. They usually have what you need. I even found audio books in many titles here. These are great for those hours on end drives. They have a Chester’s and a Subway restaurant here. If you go on the website (link above) they list their fuel prices, or you can download an app that tells you what nearby gas station has the best prices on fuel.
