I recommend the French Toast with Condensed Milk and the Hong Kong Milk Tea. The French Toast is fried and very puffy. When it is poured with the Condensed Milk, your taste buds would thank you. It is mildly sweet. Pair it with the Milk Tea so it would not be too dry.

Its a small bakery and it has a really calm vibe not a lot of people come here and usually when I stay to eat most of the tales are empty so its pretty quiet I usually come here to meet up with friends to catch up on life The lady at the front is really nice but kinda shy and sometimes the workers would talk to my friends and I, and joke around Food wise I only rlly the spaghetti with white sauce its rlly filling and the portion is generous for the price

I come to enjoy their A, b, c, d, e lunch special. I appreciate that there is something different everyday and for an affordable price. The only concern is that their lunch special menu is in chinese. I can speak cantonese, but I can’t read Chinese so I always go to the counter and ask the lady in person. There is usually complimentary soup or drink with the lunch. I always end up buying two one to stay and one to go for the husband. Please consider also updating your lunch menus in English. Thanks

This is a small Chinese Bakery in Brooklyn and although I have passed by here a bit I’ve never gone in and ate. It’s actually a really nice place with a variety of choices for a bakery — from hot food to your standard bread. I came on a super cold day to sit and chat with my friend and ate quite a bit and drank some milk tea they were all good! Additionally, they let my friend use their restroom even tho I’m sure it was for their own personal use which was really sweet of them! Overall, this is a great neighborhood spot with good food. :) They have nicely spaced tables with TV playing some canto show. Since this is your local family style bakery/café I wouldn’t hold expectations for it like a Manhattan restaurant. They have good food and the wait time is short(again, it was a cold day so it wasn’t packed) and the ambiance is medium noise level depending on the patrons. Best of all, the staff are nice!

My ultimate favorite Hong Kong diner restaurant. I’ve been here three time in the last month and ate different things each time and have never been disappointed. They are also super helpful so if you need recommendations, they will definitely help you. The French toast with peanut butter and condense milk is amazing, made fresh and hot on the spot. The milk tea and lemon tea taste just like Hong Kong and reminds me of childhood. The beef brisket noodle, Taiwanese pork chop, crispy chicken with corn and literally everything is yummy. They also have sugar cane juice. Yayyy!!! Even though Unilocal said that their day off is Tuesday, it’s been change to Friday for now.

Good HK style food that is authentic and very tasty overall. Pretty good prices and has a good amount of choices on the menu that is more specifically HK style. The fried squid is always consistently delicious.;

Got a hot hk milk tea and a wonton noodle soup. In terms of texture and tea, I think the hk milk tea is really good. It’s lacking a tad in the flavor. I could ask for more milk and sugar, but the size is not worth $ 2.50 in my opinion. The wontons have a good portion of shrimp in them, not minced. The noodles are tangy too. The soup as well is quite bland. It’s decent for a neighborhood spot. I prefer TA40 café’s hk milk tea. I prefer Chinatown bo ji ‘s wonton noodle soup.

Don’t be fooled by the lack of reviews this place has. Take a chance and come here, then judge for yourself if you like or don’t like the foods here. I have been to Hong Kong many times, and have eaten foods from many authentic HK cafes(cha chan tangs). I can tell you that the foods served here are legit and truly delicious! I was so happy to have found this hidden gem, because the foods served here are very delicious, authentic, and reasonably priced. In addition, there aren’t many authentic Hong Kong styled cha chan tangs/cafes in Brooklyn. This place is considered my #1 to go to now for authentic HK café styled food in New York — the foods here beat the«Cha Chan Tang» restaurant in Chinatown. I am just so happy that I don’t have to travel far to get decent HK café foods. Staff(lady cashier, and the chef) were very friendly & welcoming. The place was spacious and very clean. In the background, there was some TVB show playing on the television(nostalgic memories if you know what I mean). My husband & I were the first ones here, and then a few minutes later the place quickly filled up. The foods my husband and I ordered to share: 1) French toast w/Condensed Milk & Peanut Butter, 2) Spam, Egg, Tomato Sandwich, 3) Beef brisket Chern Fun, 4) Wonton, Beef Brisket w/Noodle, 5) Salt & Pepper Pork Chop w/Rice, 6) Coffee, 7) HK Styled Tea. Everything was really delicious, but if I had to pick my #1 it would be their wonton, beef brisket w/noodle which I highly recommend anyone to order. Their beef brisket chern fun was delicious as well. In general, their beef briskets are one of the best I have eaten in NYC(so anything you order that has beef brisket should be very tasty). The french toast w/condensed milk & peanut was delicious, savory, and tasted like the ones in HK. Salt and pepper pork chop w/rice was my husband’s favorite. And their spam, egg, tomato sandwich is unique because the chef adds tartar sauce inside the sandwich which made it so damn delicious! My husband also agreed that the foods were delicious, and it was his first time eating HK styled foods. I happily took their menu, and showed it to my sister who now urgently wants to come here to eat. HIGHLYRECOMMENDED! CASHONLY! *You order, and pay at the counter. Find a place to sit, and someone will bring your food to your table. You can also order out. No tips required, but if you feel that they did a wonderful job you can tip them at the counter. ***They are currently closed on Fridays.

For those who might have not noticed — those reviews from more than 7 months ago are almost irrelevant as the place has changed owners, for the second time within a year. The owners now are extremely passionated about their food quality and I was pleased by customer service. The owner who made my HK style milk tea asked me to wait for a few minutes more because she was NOT going to give me the old batch of tea, and I willingly waited for an amazing cup of HK style milk tea that I would recommend to absolutely anyone. I had their white sauce tuna pasta and I finished the entire plate by myself(which I am a small eater so it is always impossible!) The curry was alright, and their special menu upon the colourful board always has amazing selections! I will come back next time for more food! Love it! Highly recommended in the area! The food quality has completely changed from the owner beforehand!

Excellent, based on all the items I’ve had — satay beef with soup mei fun, portuguese chicken baked rice, toast with condensed milk and peanut butter, soup macaroni with ham, and salt n pepper chicken wings! Flavorful, on-point, and the variety they have is amazing. Reminds me of exactly what Hong Kong diner eats should be. Drinks are delicious too and worth it — highly recommend trying the iced herbal tea and the sugar cane juice in their fridge! Portions are definitely worth the price, and the service is quick and nice. They’ve also accommodated to my requests of adding an egg or doing something differently, so very awesome of them.

Decided to come to this place after passing by a few times. Its HK style café, serving up breakfast combos before 11am. The place was fairly clean with small tables and wooden chairs. Patrons all seem to be regulars, since they sat at their tables waiting for their food. I wanted to try some of the dishes from the menu, so I ordered the Portuguese sauceChicken spaghetti, and a Taiwanese style Chicken leg with rice. The rice was pretty good and tasty as the Chicken leg was seasoned pretty well. The Portuguese sauce spaghetti was just too bland for me. Price is average, a rice and spaghetti dish cost about $ 14 bucks

I only write reviews if I really like a place or really hate it– and this place really surprised me with it’s awesomeness. I was working this weekend in Besonhurst so I needed a place to eat lunch quickly. Saturday I ordered a Club Sandwich bc the picture on the menu was cute(small, well made looking) and I didn’t want to risk giant portions or unknown cooking times on anything else. Anyway, it came and was very good. Also the place is VERY clean and well run. Many local families quietly eating, and watching the television with muted Chinese Soap operas and/or news. The next day(today) I went back and had instant noodles with beef satay in them and a fried egg. I was going to cancel the egg but didn’t want to be annoying. Anyway, it was really well presented, colorful bok choy in there, perfectly fried egg, very tender beef satay etc. MUCH better than I was expecting for a quick low cost lunch. And nice environment and staff(maybe related/family?). I decided right then I would write a Unilocal review.(Even before a staff member let me try something extra and was super nice to me.) So I was very surprised to see negative reviews here and to find the positive ones hidden behind the filter process– what’s up with that Unilocal??? I honestly have zero skin in the game, I’m unlikely to be back in the area until Jan or next June for work but if I was, I would be sure to stop by.

First time in this place. Price is reasonable and food qualities are good. Rarely to find a restaurant that doesn’t use MSG. I don’t know why no one rate this place and i saw a very bad comment about food. i ordered mussel, stew beef, and salty beef fried rice. Their taste are just RIGHT and not salty. Most important, they don’t use MSG in food.

Tasty food and ok pricing. Ate for a family of 4 with 3 appetizers and a desert for only $ 38.85! It took a bit of time, but hey., they’re new, gotta cut them a lil break!

Not sure what«Man S.» is talking about because I’ve visited this place numerous times with friends and family, all of which enjoyed their service. Unfortunately, the workers are not machines, and therefore can not make food exactly as you prefer, so close-minded people wouldn’t appreciate food that is slightly different than what they’re used to. The workers are kind and pretty fun to talk to. They’ve even talked me out of dropping out of school! From what I’ve seen, they give respect to whoever deserves it, not to self-righteous, unfriendly customers. One star off because of human error. Thanks, Man S.
