Awesome place for great food and service!!! Stopped for lunch with three friends while on a ladies retreat. We had so much food. We started with the Falafel ball appetizers. Didn’t know quite to expect, but they we’re delicious! The pizzas were perfect, salads were huge, burgers were the best we’ve ever had… and then the desserts, pumpkin and chocolate cake, all homemade. The meat and vegetables are locally grown, so fresh and flavorful. Highly recommend stopping when you are in the area. Plan on taking food home with you for a few more meals!

Went here last night with some friends. The service is a bit slow but it is made up for in the menu and atmosphere. I had the chili for an app… awesome! I then had a cheeseburger with the egg on it… fantastic! I will definitely be back. So long as you know the service is not«fast» this place is great! I would recommend to anyone, especially families. Great vibe.

Third time here-service was awful, waitress went to fill water glasses and poured the water right on to the pizza are son was eating, needed to tell her to stop pouring it-didn’t say sorry-ridiculous. Pulled pork sandwich was not good, calzone was all dough, not impressed-will not go back… heard other tables around us complaining-we were not alone…

Knock me over with a feather! Got off the Blue Ridge Parkway, hoping for something edible in the middle of nowhere and stumbled in here. Farm to table, grass fed beef and free range organic chicken livers? Awesome! Add a pint of Parkway Brewing IPA and a rustic setting and it just doesn’t get better. Wish I lived closer!

Visited on a Friday night for a girls night out! We were greeted and seated immediately(inside) but it took awhile for our waitress to get to our table. We all ordered one if the drink specials which they called a pirate tea. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich, macaroni and cheese and some pita fries. The pirate teas were so good.(Didn’t seem to have a lot of alcohol but still good) we all had 2. They took at least ten minutes to get to our table both times. I love the pita fries and we all shared those. The chicken salad sandwich I ordered on sour dough bread which I added cheddar cheese and bacon and lettuce tomato and mayonnaise. It is seriously the best chicken salad I’ve ever had not to mention it was huge! Will definitely be ordering this again! I had ordered the macaroni and cheese before however I thought maybe they were just having an off night because it was not good at all so I wanted to order it again. I tried it again and still did not like it and neither did anybody else at the table. My friends enjoyed their meals as well and one had ordered a Berger and she said it was probably one of the best burgers she has ever had. For dessert I ordered the red velvet cake which I had been wanting to try. However they were out of it, so I ordered the carrot cake instead which I have had before but is also the best I’ve ever had. I let my friends try it as well and they were amazed at how good it was. All and all service was a bit slow, however the food is amazing. Will definitely continue to come back!

The best place to eat farm to table food in south west Virginia. Just don’t be in a hurry. Good things are worth waiting for. I would recommend the wood fire pizza or wood fire steaks! This is the place to bring friends from out of town. Place needs acoustic tile to quite the place down a bit inside due to the high ceilings.

Great place with a wonderful menu. Enjoyed the local grass-fed beef burgers and a nice sausage pizza.. Topped that off with taking home some kombucha and local eggs. Wish we had stayed for the evening music.

Went to a winery nearby and ask where we could go have a light lunch. Person doing the tastings suggested BMB. When we arrived, we were somewhat skeptical. Lesson learned… don’t judge a book by its cover. As I told the waiter, «how can food this good be so hidden». I had a specialty pizza and its one of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten. My wife had the pork sandwich and it was amazing. Awesome food, awesome service, very reasonable prices. And… the local tap beer was awesome as well. Definitely going back!!!

Bent Mountain Bistro is set apart from the rest, both literally and gastronomically. Concerning the literal, you have to drive a little ways up Bent Mountain. It may be out of the way, but worth every mile spent seeking it out! The picturesque area is breathtaking and peaceful. Gastronomically speaking, quality of ingredients is of the utmost importance here. Their menu states, «Please know that we strive to provide you with ingredients from right here within fifty miles of Bent Mountain, whenever possible.» This must be true, as each item was fresh, clean, well-aged, and/or consistent with the local area. During this Sunday’s visit, we ordered a pepperoni and country sausage pizza, pulled pork bbq sandwich with a side of coleslaw, pita fries, and some various salads. The mozzarella on the pizza had a milky and mild flavor that indicated the cow had a proper grass-fed diet. I loved that the crust wasn’t overly floured, as pizzerias tend to mess this up. The bbq had the delicious pit smoked taste that is absolutely imperative. It is a wonderful sign when you pull up to a restaurant and see someone to the side tending to a smoker. As for the pita fries, I expected them to be less moist than they actually were. I can assure you that they are a great substitute for potato fries! They had a similar taste to deep-fried dough, with the expected pita flavor. I could go on and on about the menu but that would not do it justice. If you are feeling adventurous and have the time, taste for yourself the local and delicious food at Bent Mountain Bistro!

3rd time is the charm apparently. First two visits we experienced the anguish of slow and untrained service and an overwhelmed kitchen. This past Friday night went flawlessly. We and another couple actually used our Groupon deals and enjoyed everything. The BBQ Burger was perfect, chicken salads fresh and flavorful. Our appetizers were more than we could finish. The service, yes the service, was spot on! They continue to improve and we will continue to patronize!
