4 Little Pigs Bar-B-Que

Local favorite, mom and pop style restaurant. They have a great fried pork tenderloin, hamhawks & white beans. Good country food. We eat breakfeast here a lot.

After visiting a few BBQ joints in Kentucky I saw a few similarities and a few things that need improvement.
The actual building is close to its service — a little dirty and at times cold. The tables were dirty when arriving and the service wasn’t bad but wasn’t good either. Most employees seemed confused as what they had to offer for the day.
However, the food is the saving grace as the pulled pork (the only meat available) was good but the sweet potato and broccoli casseroles are a tasty variety not offered at many establishments.
With a few simple improvements they can be a solid 3 star, but they’re a 2 for what I experienced. If it was a drive thru or eat-​on-​the-​curb spot, the score would be better.

Firstly I want to say the service was very good, the owner was there and very polite.
I did find it odd that they didn’t take credit or debit in this day and age (studies show that accepting these forms of payments actually increase sales 20−30%) far out waying the cost of the service. You can even do it on a smart phone (

The owner told us it was all about the sauce!
I had the pulled pork, it was cooked well didn’t have much flavor not much seasoning.
Well about the sauce, I’m not sure what he was thinking when he conjured it up.
The sauce was, flat not very much flavor and what flavor it did had was, well strange.
I’ve tasted better store bought.

This was the first restaurant my wife and I ate at after moving to Benton earlier this year. I was quite surprised with this restaurant for a couple reasons. First, smoking is allowed, but there is a section for it. Second, you need to pay with cash, and luckily, I happened to have enough cash on me for the meal. This is 2012 so I wasn’t expecting these issues, and I’m pretty disappointed because the food and service was good! I likely won’t be going back, especially when there is another good BBQ restaurant nearby that doesn’t share these issues.

It OK, but nothing special. Bar-​b-​que isn’t bad, but they’ve started serving plate dinners, and they are not anything special. Price is pretty high on plates for what you get. I’ve had better.

we went there based on the Motorcycle Tourers Forum Ride to Eat.
it was homey and small town like. very friendly folks! Good Food and priced to eat lots. i had the pulled pork sandwich and wife had the rib dinner specials. Loved the Corn Nuggets. Would go back anytime in the area. Or the next RTE !

The only bad thing about this place is that they don’t take cards. Food is excellent, cheap and fast. The bison burger is awesome, but the strawberry pie is totally decadent.
