Benton Inn

Right in the middle of everything is a great location for this, clean, low priced, friendly staffed inn. I spent the weekend there while they were updating, expanding, and renovating. I learned that the current owner just recently acquired the Inn and has big plans for making it a very homey place to stay, without that «afraid to touch anything without rubber gloves» feeling. I arrived very late at night, had no reservation, but I was politely received and I was surprised when I got in my room to see that it was much cleaner than the outside would lead you to believe it was. But like I said its in the middle of renovations. I live in NC, but my 3 daughters live up in KY, and I will definitely be making the Benton Inn my home away from home. The BBQ place just a few blocks down the street is quite nice as well. Took my picky eating kids there and they actually finished their whole plates which is more than rare :-)
