Congo Fireplace & Patio

After calling many times, setting up appointments, and Congo Fireplace & Patio missing every appointment and not returning phone calls, I quit. No call, no show, while I am waiting for them to come to my house to do work is unacceptable, unprofessional, and outright cost me time and money. We have several fireplaces that we were revamping, replacing, and upgrading. Every staff member I met was either rude on the telephone or rude in-​person at their store. I was ready to spend many thousands of dollars on fireplace hardware and labor, but nobody would follow through. At one point, I even told them I am willing to pay whatever it takes to get my work done. I will even pay up front. Just keep the appointments you made to come to my house. They never did that. I even spoke to the son of the owner. He gave me his card and assured me he would call me back and take care of everything. I verified my phone number with him (he showed me his mobile phone where he put my contact info in it) and he also wrote it on a yellow Post-​It note. He never called me back, but I called him and left messages he never returned. I was advised by a builder, a brick mason contractor, and my chimney sweep contractor to never do business with Congo Fireplace & Patio. I tried to give them my business and money over and over for about 3 months during the off-​season, but they were incapable of basic things like keeping any of the three different appointments set. Not only did they never show up for appointments, they didn’t even bother to call and reschedule. This is just my personal experience. Maybe others will get better service, but they made it very clear to me that they have zero interest in being polite, professional, or following through on their word.

SUPER HIGH PRICES! The sales person we dealt with was nice but none of the people there have very friendly personalities. Had to ad a little more pipe on the install of a fireplace and received another $$$ bill in the mail as if we had not already dropped thousands on a fireplace. 2ft of pipe & an elbow apparently have some gold in it. They are way over priced. Not highly recommended

High prices on all the items I have been researching but they carry the higher end name brands as well like on grills it is Green Egg, etc.
I needed a part for my fireplace and I did get it but it had to be ordered the parts manager was the only one to talk to and if you called to speak to him you could only give your name and number and wait for him to call back… I ended up going into the store because 3 hrs later I had not heard back yet. In this area we are limited when it comes to being able to get parts for fireplaces so this was my only option and I had been ont he internet trying to find a faster way of getting the item. If I had a choice and belive me I tried I would have gone somewhere else. No one in the store was friendly or very helpfull. I figured they thought I didn’t have the money to spend on their items so I was a waste of time… at least that is what it felt like to me.
