True history along the Blues Trail. Met Duck in person and was regaled by his stories and tales for about an hour as my family and I devoured some of the Dr. Pepper and Twinkies that he sells.
Not too far from Jackson and Yazoo City. Well worth the detour, especially if you are a music buff or history lover.

One of the oldest, most historic juke joints in America. A visit to the Blue Front Café is like stepping back in time. The juke’s owner, Jimmy ‘Duck’ Holmes is one of Mississippi’s most celebrated bluesmen. If you are anywhere near Bentonia, don’t miss the chance to stop in for a beer, some stories and — if you ask Duck nicely — some down home blues.
