My experience with Clardy’s(Bentonville) was dreadful! It was complete lack of respect for the customer and service provided. The short story is that it took 3 weeks for a job estimated to take 8 days to complete(regluing the soles on a pair of Birkenstock clogs). After stopping in 3 times to pick up my shoes they were somewhat ready. This was after calling on Friday, Nov. 6 and being told they would be ready Monday, Nov. 9. They were not ready on Monday, November 9, thus I had to go back again today. The cobbler in the back said it would take 15 minutes more to touch up the shoes. I waited in my car, watching the clock, for 15 minutes before going back in. While my children and I waited in our van, I watched the cobbler and the front staff member take a smoking break next to the building! When I went back in, I overheard their conversation in the back. The cobbler was irritated that I came back so soon and said he «didn’t even care…»(The rest of the comment was muffled.) Like Lenny(comment below), I watched him haphazardly finish the job while waiting for 15 minutes more. I will not be taking any shoes there in the future. **Note, my previous experience at Clardy’s(Fayetteville) was exceptional. Steven and Ceci are a pleasure to do business with. I will be driving my shoes there in the future.

Left another couple of pair of shoes there for heel tips. I know, I should know better, but it’s heel tips! Nothing could be more simple. The hard part was picking them up! I went one Saturday during their normal business hours — closed. No sign, but I remember once upon a time they said they were open every other Saturday. So I go a weekday the next week, during their posted business hours. Closed. No signage. So I’m into week 3 before I «catch them open» during their posted hours. Sooooo annoying.

Terrible service and professionalism. You can tell how disorganized they are just by looking around the disgusting, messy, dirty shop with shoes and garments thrown around all over the place. I dropped off two pairs of dress shoes and a pair of sneakers for cleaning and shine… something that should take 20 – 30 minutes tops. I was told it would take a week and I would get a text when ready. 1, 2, 3, 4 weeks go by and no text. I went in to pick them up and after spending 10 minutes looking for them, I was told the dress shoes are ready but sneakers are not. Keep in mind this is a month later for something that I sit and get done at the airport in 10 minutes. Not only that, but they lied right to my face by saying the dress shoes were done. I stood there for 10 minutes while I watched them through the back door doing a haphazard job trying to get them shined really quick. Liars, unorganized, unprofessional. I will be taking my extensive business elsewhere.

This shoe repair is the most unprofessional experience. I have used them a few times and overlooked the fact that every time the shoes are never ready on time. And I often went to get them two or three days later. Yesterday the owner yelled at me and told me that the shoes are only ready when they text you. The due date doesn’t matter. whatever you do don’t go there. They clearly don’t need my business or money and I will be sure to let all oft associates know this as they are right beside our home office.

This place is horrid. Someone said that the service is better now with new management. COMPLETELIE! I very rarely write scathing reviews but I feel morally obligated to keep other naïve customers, as I was, from making the same mistake in giving this place your business. The promised time for completion takes twice the time they say it will. There is NO organization to the point that they lost my shoes on multiple occasions and took a great length of time to find them. When I called a week after the promised deadline asking about the completion of my shoes I was told they would be done in 30 minutes or at least by the end of the day. They never were, all three times! Even when I went in to take them and go somewhere else they were misplaced and only halfway done. All I needed done was some simple stitching that took the place I went to in Springdale, AR25 minutes to do. Just sheer laziness and no regard to customer service at all. I would give this place a 0 if I could because there is nothing positive to say about my experience. And all they offered me was excuse after excuse as to why a quick and simple fix couldn’t get done. I have never been more disappointed with the level of professionalism, workmanship, or customer service in my life.(AT&T Customer Service takes a close second though.)

Drew Clarby’s ruined a Coach dog collar by putting the new hole in the wrong place, in addition they made too many holes and they are all too small, the buckle does not close properly. I also took a white soft leather handbag to be cleaned they had it for over a week, and they did not touch it until the day it was due to be picked up. When I went to pick up the bag it was not clean, also there were marks on it that were not previously there and the leather now feels sticky. I was told it was cleaned with saddle soap, not leather cleaner. When I told them I was not happy with the so-called cleaning they said it was clean and it is very hard to clean a handbag, they also said a $ 10 cleaning would not make it perfect, to which I replied, «you never gave me an option on level of cleanliness» I would have gladly paid considerable more for an actually clean bag. To top it all off I had to pay for a handbag that was not cleaned and now need repair work on the dog collar. I do not recommend taking any items you care about to this shoe place.

This was my first time going to a cobbler to repair my shoes. I thought I would take a chance since it is so hard to find a good pair of heeled boots. I got the heels of my boots repaired here at the end of the winter season. They looked like they were as good as new. However, I just wore them again over this winter season, and they started to wear down after a week of wearing them. I don’t know if this is normal, but I feel like I didn’t get my money’s worth on the repair. They are still better before the repair, so I guess that is better than nothing.

Since the new owner’s took over the service has really improved. You can drop off a pair of shoes in the morning and get them back clean and shined that evening. I’ve had them resole several pairs of my dress shoes and they do a great job. This is one service that I hope really succeeds here.
