Cute little retro spot. Picked up a latte before a meeting. Great place to bring kids for ice cream. Connected to the Walmart Museum, too.

Quality of ice cream was so-so. The prices are dirt cheap, and that’s what makes this place so popular.

The spark café/5 – 10 takes you back to the 1950’s . 5 and dime: toys and candy from the old days. Attached it the museum witch has a short screening every 5 mins, Sam Walton’s office, print your name like you would have it if you worked at Walmart, Sam Walton’s old car(with his dog old Roy’s bit marks on the steering wheel. Ice cream(spark café) there are so many ice cream flavors, pies and old fashion drinks. There is very fast service. And there is a flavor named after Sam Walton called the spark, and it is so good. The Walton five and dime is fun for every one you should try it.

Yummy! I got the spark ice cream and wanted more! You need to try it. Very very cheap as well!

Best part of the Wally World museum tour. Good to see an old fashioned soda fountain still in existence. Didn’t get to try any of the ice cream, even though their self-named flavor sounded interesting. I ended up getting a chocolate egg cream, which was made just right.

This place is pretty cool. The exit for the Wal-mart museum takes you straight into the café. There is also a front door entrance to the café as well — you don’t have to go through the museum. I’ve been here twice and so far have only had the ice cream. I ordered the chocolate ice cream and it was yummy, normal ice cream. My husband had the sundae and he enjoyed it. The décor is fun — old style diner — check out pictures. There is booth seating and counter seating. There is one table by the entrance that has smaller booths with a smaller table — fun for kids to sit at. They have some candy as well — such as razzles, etc. Fun place to go!

Definitely Walmart brands used at the Walmart café. Malt was from a box. It did not mix very well and it had pockets of power here and there. Ice cream was alright but nothing I would go out of my way to get again. Muffins were dry and mediocre. Pie was Walmart pie… frozen Walmart pie. Atmosphere is alright, over all not too impressed. Also their«great» coffee is topped by instant Folgers any day.

Pros: outdoor seating, interesting décor, yarnells ice cream instead of Great Value Cons: tourist trap, dirty, and will make you ask serious questions about yourself. After eating a slice of cold apple pie(the same one you can find at any walmart near you), I started feeling immensely guilty because I realized that there is no café on the planet with enough fame and authenticity that would stay in business on the same block as this Wal-Mart museum café. Is this an unforgivable sin? Word to the wise — if you want a walmart pie, I recommend tossing one in your shopping basket and enjoying it at home.

Great classic soda fountain that serves about a dozen Yarnell ice cream flavors, plus shakes, malts, sundaes and other treats. Hubby loved the huge banana split he got and I enjoyed my fluffernutter. The tables are covered with Walmart-related memorabilia.

Who doesn’t love a soda fountain??? And to make it better, you can tour the Walmart Museum and go to the original 5 – 10 store owned by Sam Walton. Very fun attraction, and learning experience!

Finally! A 50s ice cream parlor on the square! Spark Café was really not competitive as a coffee shop with Pressroom and Kennedy in close proximity. Especially once they turned it into a gift-shop and put merchandise on the counter seating spots etc. But this ice cream parlor fits downtown perfectly, especially when paired with the 5 and dime. They have several favors, egg creams(the manager is a New Yorker!), and even pie! We will be back many, many, times!

Great coffee, not a huge variety but they do have different options. Offer quick grab-and-go lunches and snacks as well as dessert foods like cupcakes. Limited variety but good.
