The Acropolis is about two minutes from my house. It’s my go-to breakfast place on weekends. The strawberry pancakes are delightful! I’ve not experienced slow service – I’m not in a hurry at breakfast on the weekend anyway – so can’t speak to that. Dated? I prefer to say«nostalgic». Give them a try for breakfast.

Let’s be realistic here. There are only 3 places where you can get a falafel/gyro in Benton county and Acropolis is right in the middle(Vivace, Acropolis, Tazikis). Vivace is expensive but good, Acropolis is cheap and good and Tazikis is just terrible on price and terrible on food and I refuse to revisit them for any reason… ever! Acropolis is an old restaurant that needs updating for the menu and the dining area. They have a few odd non-greek offerings like«curried soup”(tastes like spicy minestrone) and«Aloo Gobi»(WTF???) which I have not tried. The meat eaters only come here for the gyro and the vegetarians come here for the falafel in our family. The pricing for the sandwhiches are great(under $ 7) and they are sized just right. While the sandwhiches are good they will not blow your socks off and it’s probably why this place is never crowded. It does appear to have a few loyal customers whenever I’ve been there and the service is OK with the 2 regular servers. They don’t appear to be wildly profitable judging by the lack of landscaping and the outdated cups/dishes/decorations, but I hope they stay in business for those few times when I want a Gyro.

Great selection for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. I like the Acropolis dish: pieces of lamb, hummus, pita bread, and three dolmeh with a bit of lettuce and tomato.

I am not sure how this place is still in business. The service was laughable. No really we laughed. The waitress took my order and then walked off without taking the orders of my two companions. We should have left at that point but we decided to see how the adventure would unfold. The waitress did return and we were able to finish ordering… unfortunately. My expectations weren’t that high and yet I was still very disappointed. The gyro I ordered could have been assembled in a supermarket deli. A little humus feta cheese and canned black olives. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for your Mediterranean food.

The only Greek restaurant in town. What this place needs to do is close for about 3 months and give the place a floor to ceiling renovation. If it looked a little less like an old Denny’s and a little more like their old location in Fayetteville they would get another star from me. Like it or not, atmosphere matters. Love the food though and the older woman who runs the place is always extremely nice to my family and I.

I really like this place. It’s nothing fancy inside or out but the food is consistent. I love that thy serve breakfast all day and that’s usually what I order. It’s way better than all the chain breakfast places. Tip — manage your expectations. There are no frills here and this isn’t the Greek food from a major city. But for Benton county I think it’s darn good.

Let me start by saying I «know good Greek food.» I used to live in Baltimore and they have some of the best Greek restaurants in America. To be fair, my wife and I have tried to eat here at least on three separate occasions. This has to be one of the worst Gyros I’ve ever eaten(very dry and tasteless). Unfortunately, the only thing worse than the Gyro was the very slow service. Of course how can you expect the wait staff to be any better than the Proprietor? I’ve never felt more«unwelcome» at a restaurant in my life. Can you say personality transplant? If you want a truly tasty Gyro I’m afraid you’re gonna have to drive down to Fayetteville and go to «Kosmos Greek Café.»

The outside of the building is not much to look at but don’t let that keep you from trying Bentonville’s best and only Greek restaurant. I love the Ultimate Gyro Plater. The lamb is tender and the hummus is the second best I’ve ever had. The service can be a little slow at times and their hours are a little odd. They are closed monday and tuesday evenings. But it is good food.
