They say the best things come in small packages… Gallery 103 is small, but filled with masterful work. Mr. Thompson — or Bobby Craig, as he congenially told me to call him — was making precious stone and metal work jewelry when I entered the gallery. The minutely detailed necklace pendants depicted mountains, trees, and other scenic designs. Definitely worth stopping by… they have lovely pottery and stained glass, too!

The mastery in the work at this shop is incredible. By cutting intricate patterns in multiple layers of metal and laying them over colorful minerals, Mr. Thompson has produced striking images of nature in pennants that have their own depth of field. His pieces are inspired and inspiring — truly amazing. Teresa Cole’s pottery is also masterful, and I recommend venturing around the back of College Square to get to their shop, a hidden gem.
