I thought my late grandmother was working in the kitchen. Wow, I am impressed. The Chicken and Dumplings were to die for. Can’t wait to get back in the Berea area to see what else they have cooked up. I’m sure grandma is back there somewhere.

The salad bar was the best thing about this restaurant. Unless you like greasy croutons, I do not recommend adding those on your salad. The hot food wasn’t great. The chicken and dumplings were pretty good. Meat loaf was ok. I had the chocolate cake which was dry and tasteless minus the chocolate syrup on top. $ 62 for a family of four is way too much for just ok food.

This place was slightly disappointing to me. I was excited for a salad bar and my fiancé was excited for a buffet. The salad bar didn’t have broccoli, celery, green peppers, red onions, cauliflower or any non iceberg greens. They did have white onion, fake bacon bits, shredded carrots, cucumber, tomatoes, cheese, ham, eggs, and homemade croutons. Which would be ok for most people but I prefer a veggie loaded salad. I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and a loaded baked potato. Both tasted good and the potato was huge. My fiancé ordered the buffet and an order of baked apples. The buffet included the salad bar. He didn’t eat much from the actual buffet. The fried chicken was cold, he liked the baked beans and the Mac n cheese. His baked apples were cold as well but we’re removed from the bill when alerted of the issue. Overall it was ok but not what I was expecting. The service was really good though and for $ 12 I left full and with leftovers. My fiancé though was a less than full. I would go here to eat if you’re wanting to order from the menu not the buffet. And refer to salad bar info to decide if it’s worth the additional $ 3 to you.

The food was pretty good for a place right off 75. I had breaded shrimp, corn pudding, side salad, and hush puppies. The shrimp was crispy and perfectly cooked, the corn pudding was exactly perfect, the side salad was fresh and had onions, which I love. Everything was fresh and hot and clearly made from scratch. The hush puppies were piping hot, but very bland, so I didn’t finish them. I also had unsweetened iced tea which was freshly brewed. The service left a little to be desired, but that was more due to one waitress covering the whole room as well as the phone. When we could get her, she was very friendly and quick with the food. We had a hard time getting our check as every table was demanding something at that time. Definitely worth the stop, just check to make sure they have two people working!

We had dinner there. Fish was too greasy for me. My husband said the ribs were ok. Staff was very friendly and prices were reasonable. We got 10% discount when we showed our room key from Fairfield Inn.

Ordered rib & chicken bbq combo. boiled ribs and chicken breast appeared to be a frozen Tyson. Not real BBQ. Onion ring straws were the same as Burger King. absolutely cheap quality food. Guy at adjoining table ordered«pulled pork».was .not smoked but baked. he ate 2 bites and quit… Not authentic BBQ.terrible.

Service varies. It’s obvious that the owner cuts cost at every corner, from generic condiments to cuts of meat. Food tastes decent and cleanliness is good though. Good atmosphere and decent value.

Favorite Friday night dinner spot in the county. Buffet and all you can eat fried fish — pollock– and ribs. Attentive service and country atmosphere.
