The latest technology, however, if this practice is not a participating provider, be prepared to shell out a fortune. Last year Dr. Tong recommended deep cleaning, 2 fillngs and a root canal for my husband. His out of pocket cost would be nearly $ 2500. Dr. Tong out of pocket expense for my 6 year old to have cavaties filled was $ 1200. I like the bells and whistles, but can’t afford to help him pay for them. I’m going to a participating provider where fillings are fully covered.
