I was so very pleasantly surprised and amazed with Becky! A friend of mine recommended her for a tarot reading and then just mentioned that she also does electrolysis, which I really need (laser doesn’t work for me). I felt her pricing was not only fair but generous, as she gives a 50% discount for the first electrolysis appointment.
Becky was patient, kind, caring, professional, compassionate, efficient, talented, and a lovely person just to be in the same room with. I have had electrolysis before and I have to say she is probably the fastest at her craft. She did a wonderful job and took really good care of me. The price was right. I will be a regular going forward.
The tarot reading was amazing. She used a deck I am not familiar with, and it was both fun, informative and very much resonated with me. I felt like we were kindred spirits at this point, and enjoyed her company so much I could have just sat around chatting with her for the rest of the day.
Her space is nice and clean, and she is as sweet as she can possibly be.

I just had my session with Becky a few days ago and I am really happy with the result. She was very professional and skilled and it was a quiet and relaxing experience. She used several things to reduce redness and swelling which was great because I had to go back to work after the appointment. I have experienced no breakouts or other irritation since the treatment which I used to get with another electrologist.

She was really personable and the office space was great. She provided great ambiance and I loved the lights and creams she put on after to speed healing. The prices when I went there in 2008 were very reasonable and even though she upped her rate she continued to charge me the same. The problem was I was going regularly for 6 months and saw NO change. This has made me skeptical about spending so much money on this «permanent» hair removal process because frankly, efficacy depends on the skill and technique of the practitioner. Then there’s the whole hair cycle thing, and trying to get the stages right so you aren’t wasting money trying to get rid of hairs not in the growth cycle.
I agree with the other posters about plucking, when electrolysis works properly the hair doesn’t need to be plucked out it just falls out. I have a home electrolysis kit so I know the process. The needle goes into the hair follicle, if it is done properly you should see a chemical reaction surface from the hair follicle, then the hair can disengage from the root of the follicle effortlessly. I am dubious when it comes to mechanics, dentists, or anybody else who’s livelihood depends on keeping people coming back in electrologists are no different. If I wanted to ensure a person saw me for 3 or 4 years I would pluck some hairs and zap others. Not saying this is what she does but the incentive is there. That is why one should try lucy peters international or places that offer a guarantee to clear the area within x amount of sessions or it is on the house, so the onus is on them to get you hair free in as few sessions as possible.
I only did electrolysis because laser doesn’t work with my skin color but not anymore, I will be trying coolglide laser which targets the color of the hair follicle, not contrast of the skin to hair follicle. It will be quicker and thus less painful than electrolysis and show results in less time. If I need to clear any stragglers I can then touch up with my home electrolysis kit.

I’m surprised that Becky doesn’t have more reviews.
I’ve seen various electrologists over the years* and Becky is an extremely experienced and personable electrologist.
Becky’s light touch is not just in removing hair (the more effective blend method) but also in her interactions with me. I’ve fallen into being chattier with prior electrologists, but with Becky, have tended more towards silence. She is respectful of my desire for quiet and responsive when I have questions about my progress and random facts about hair growth and removal. She is organized, punctual, and fair, which I really appreciate as my life has gotten busier. I’ve been to others who would never quite start on time because another client was late, or would just fuss around before starting treatment.
Becky is also a very wise, gentle soul, with the spirit of a fiery feminist, which I love. I’m glad to have found her. I hope you are too.
*The reasons why it’s taken my hair removal so long is that I originally worked with a woman who did the flash method, which I later learned is not as effective as blend. So while the hair removal during the appointment would go quickly, the progress of permanently killing off my hair roots was not. Becky does blend. And I was inconsistent with my treatments – moving several times and traveling a lot for work. But now I’m towards the end of my permanent hair removal process.

Becky Taber is just excellent at what she does! She is well informed, experienced and very gentle. I’m very sensitive and she has many methods to keep me comfortable e.g. she uses lidocaine, infra-​red, etc. I’ve never had bruises or any adverse after-​effects from her treatments. She’s also a lovely person to spend an hour with. I regularly recommend her services to others.

I found Becky after going to other practitioners for years. While my last electrologist would sometimes leave bruises and make the whole experience rather painful, Becky has a gentle but effective touch, plays relaxing music, and soothes you with her healing ways. Becky can also pull other tricks out of her hat when you may not be feeling too good and just need someone to soothe whatever ails you. She is a real healer, avid reader, and enjoyable person to talk to. I feel that she is worth every penny and I am also seeing results.

I have been going for many years (too many hormone changes!), and find Becky thoughtful, patient, considerate and kind. I have been to many other electrolysis places, and Becky is definitely the best. Very highly recommended.

A Light Touch Electrolysis is an excellent place to go for permanent hair removal. Becky Taber is a sensitive individual, in every sense of the word, making the electrolysis experience as pleasant as possible. I have achieved excellent results, thanks to her expertise! Electrolysis can take a few sessions for each hair, but the results ARE permanent. I am living proof that this method works! In addition, at the end of the session Becky provides an infrared light facial, which leaves your skin glowing!

I found Becky to be perfectly nice and her office to be a comfortable environment, but I honestly don’t think she’s doing the technique correctly. I went there for months and saw no improvements. I’d steer clear.

It felt like she was doing more plucking.
