I’ve bought thousands of dollars of steel from Albany Steel. Then, one day I went in and bought one piece of angle iron for which I was charged $ 128. When I got home I did some checking on the price and concluded that I had gotten screwed. I called back and talked to the manager, who agreed and lowered the price to $ 69. You’ve got to wonder about a company that tries to price gouge like this.
I went back and raised my original rating from a 1 to a 2. Albany Steel has always seemed like a good supplier, but that one experience (described above) left a very bad taste in my mouth.
