Dr. Chetkowski is the finest physician I have ever met. Dr. Chet provided us with very critical care in an important time in our lives. We were successful in having a daughter. But we also had a complex pregnancy and faced some difficult twists and turns along the way, which only he was attentive & skilled enough to address. Dr. Chet held our process with rigor, kindness, and some very crucial judgment at key times. He and Dr. Goldberg at SF perinatal stood out as a whole different kind of doctor, channeling a different level of skill and attention than anyone else. It may not be obvious from a first meeting or even a first round, but Dr. Chet and his practice Alta Bates IVF made the difference. With a Reproductive Endocrinologist, you want to be successful, and we were, but it is the twists and turns that really matter, and we are a good data source for many situations, and you are well cared for with Alta Bates IVF. We also tried again 6 years later, and were unsuccessful after 1 round of IVF, but I wouldn’t regret it for a minute. Dr. Chet also handled this with the utmost care, which was supportive to me as well. I am a happy, non-​regrets mama because of them. *They are there when it really matters*. I’m bumping my 4 star review to a 5 star. I was diagnosed and hospitalized for a blood clot a few months ago. Dr. Herndon not only visited me in the hospital to check on me but continues to follow up with me while I recover. I don’t know how I got lucky enough to find such a great doctor but I’m thankful that he’s got my back during this time in my life
