After seeing the beautiful pictures of the work done by this company we wanted to get a quote. So we had Magela come out to give us a quote. He took measurements and was very nice to talk to, however, he is «too busy» to even send us a quote-it’s been 6weeks! And after asking for it repeatedly he wrote «it sounds like you need this work done quickly and I cannot do it until August.» No we just wanted the quote so we could decide when we wanted it done. Do not get a «quote» if you actually want a fence.

Magela of Berkeley Fence builds beautiful stick-built redwood fences. He builds them by hand, and he builds them slowly and methodically, with great care. He is a real gentleman and very polite; listens to classical radio (not too loud) while he’s working, and cleans up his equipment each night. He hand-picks each piece of wood in order to get the right grain and no knots. His price for work of this quality is extremely reasonable. Our fence is the envy of our neighborhood.
