Berkeley Housing for Students at Casa Cedar

Wow, Casa Cedar is like a unified scholarly community super close to campus and all the action. The experience has enriched my life SO much. I made many new friends and had the space needed to get my research done. I think it’s the ideal place to stay in Berkeley — a great deal, a wonderful vibe and the landlord is fantastic — very responsive to all our needs. Highly recommended!

I lived at Casa Cedar for a total of 8 weeks during the summer while attending Berkeley Summer Sessions. I was very pleased with the place, as it was exactly what its advertisements said it would be: clean, friendly, comfortable and fully equipped! For a flat fee and with dates tailored to my travel plans, I was able to enjoy my summer and focus on my summer courses without worrying about the usual hassles of a long-​term renting contract. I met very interesting people from around the globe with whom I have become good friends and have stayed in touch. We had a blast at the Casa Cedar sponsored BBQ parties and even were taken on a trip to the movies! The 3D TV and the Netflix account access also made for nice dinners together and time to relax and hangout. If I ever had a problem, the house administration did everything in their power to make me feel comfortable and to find a solution. The location is perfect and is basically right in the center of Berkeley and has easy access to San Francisco. However, one should calculate at least 30 minutes to reach the back buildings (Including the business school) of the UC campus. Lastly, the staff was made up of international and exceptionally interesting people with whom I really enjoyed speaking. Casa Cedar really contributed to a successful and very fun summer! I highly recommend it!

This place is just awesome. It offers one semester contract. Roommates and housemates are very nice. And the studying and cleaning policy is strictly enforced. WiFi is super fast and printing is free! You can hangout in the common area if you want to take a break from the heavy school work. I definitely recommend anyone who is looking for a nice and furnished place in Berkeley.
